Hi,

Sometimes there appears something in some provinces on the map, like a tower or an electrical tower with a number on top. What does it mean?
I used to know what it was but I just started to play the game again after many many months and I don´t remember! Thank you!

Never mind. I solved it.I just needed to pause the game while the diplomatic Ai was thinking, pick the events I wanted and unpause again. I thought I was supposed to wait till the AI was done thinking to be able to pick the events....

O YES!!! I got the game to run like it has to, no more jerky and jumpy mouse!!! I just had to put the computer on max power (my wife had changed it to "quiet office" without telling me and now I don´t even need to turn UAC off to play!! :-)

this is one piece of a game!

My problem disappears if I run the game in window mode and the game runs faster too! But the mouse problem remains.The game is playable but is so annoying. I hope your next game will be playable disregarding of single core,UAC and other stuff.... Your games are great, especially this one holds parad...

sometimes I have to save the game first to go to next phase because the game refuses to think and go to the next phase if I don´t save first. the cause? any solution?

hi I started a new game but it gets stuck and can´t get past the event/diplomacy phase in early august 1914 (grand campaign). I can still move the mouse around, and the option giving the game all the thinking time needed is OFF. The game was working although with a very jerky mouse, I reinstalled it...

Why can´t I change the security level in the confgurator from 3 (Slow) to 2? It´s greyed out for me but other people managed to change it. How? Thanks.

I´m gonna make some experiments with the mouse in visa to see if that helps

hi again, I also disabled all music and sounds + all changes in the configurator, single core mode, UAC;desktop composition, I defragmented the hard drive, I cleaned the registry, searched for virus and spyware, the things I explained at the beginning of this thread etc... everything you can imagine...

hi Moff I did try (see one of my previous posts in this thread) but no difference. Now I reinstalled the game, applied all the things said in this forum but no difference. The only thing I haven´t tried is changing the security level in the game configurator down to 2 but I can´t because it´s greyed...

btw, I can´t change the security level in the game configurator,it´s greyed out on 3 (SLOW). Maybe changing that could help?

hi clovis I´ve read about it but I thought it only applied to windows 7? But maybe I´m wrong,I´m using Vista. I ran the game in single core mode and the game loaded faster but no difference in game play. The mouse is as slow and laggy/jerky as usual. Frustrating. Just in case it´s of any info/help h...

if your USB-key is not readyboost compatible you can download the following program to format it and cheat your way around, that´s what I did.

I read this in this forum:

"2) WW1 Configurator tool: if you want to have a less jerky behaviour of the game during AI job, set the "Security Level" to 2".

My security level option in the wwi configurator is greyed out so I can´t change it. Anybody can help?"

thanks but I managed to fix it myself. In fact, I thought that I hade added the serial to the serial.ini and wwi.ini files but I forgot to save! So when I tried to launch the game the serial was still not in the files. When I tried to save I couldn´t, the computer wouldn´t let me so I moved both fil...
