Installing from the CD did not work, however, copying the whole folder from the old computer to the new one seems to have done the trick

Hello After changing my computer, I re-installed the original game, the one with the unusual map orientation, then I tried to upgrade to the Gold version. No such luck, the links seem to be broken. And the original game, installed from the CD, freezes once the newspaper "L'or du Kaiser..."...
