Re: Critical Error with CTD

I have already opened a ticket but the solution offered was not relevant to the CTD. The only advice offered was to roll back the turn and to disable file compression. Since the latter was never enabled this could not have been a contributing factor. Rolled back the offending turn and am progressing...

Welcome to the wonderful world of AJE! Merchants provide additional income. Once you have occupied an area it will begin to generate income which probably takes trade into acc...

Re: In the meantime, what do you play and why?

Have just finished the March/April 1917 turn as the Entente in a World War One Gold 1915-scenario campaign. Lots of Command:Modern Air and Naval Combat time as well. The Thirty-Years War and AJE (currently 42-turns into the 2nd Punic War scenario) fills some time-gaps as does some Silent Hunter 3 or...

Why were you disappointed? I enjoy it quite a bit. Just curious. This is really off topic and has nothing to do with the thread subject or the AGE engine but here goes. No night, no weather, no sense of time, no leaders, leadership or reasonable command and control, smoke is cosmetic only, game sou...

Re: Poll. Future of the AGE engine.

Was hugely disappointed in Pike and Shot Campaigns although I really wanted to like it. So, have avoided Fields of Glory II since my understanding is that they use the same engine. While no doubt that the AGE II engine is past its prime I would immediately buy any future DLC for AJE or TYW/ECW , par...

Re: US WW1 memorial at Dun sur Meuse

Never checked stock but in my updated 1918 scenario they certainly are in France on the first turn, January 1918. Second Army is in Paris and First Army with AEF HQ under Pershing are behind the lines in north-eastern France and the valley of the Meuse. When last I found myself in that part of Franc...

Re: Port blockade

I would expect that this is working as designed since once steam engines were placed in warships, their ability to spend months at sea essentially became non-existent. One can see how many elements are necessary to blockade any port so it makes sense to keep a minimum number of elements over the min...

Re: (BOR - Punic Wars) Roman Consuls Won't Fail Activation Rolls

Just one more question.. You were playing with it patched to 1.05, yes?

Yes. Of course legions of deceased brain cells since may have effected my memory of this but I am pretty certain that on some occasions consuls failed to activate in the long 1st Punic War scenario.

Re: (BOR - Punic Wars) Roman Consuls Won't Fail Activation Rolls

I completed the long First Punic War scenario a couple of weeks ago but did not notice this happening. Indeed I clearly recall instances where one or both Roman consuls were not active and this actually cost me dearly in the campaign for Sicily.

Nice catch! Thanks.

The affected leaders appear to be 2216 through 2221 so implementing the suggested fix is not a big deal. Suggest deleting the Units.Cached file if applying this correction.

Re: Noobie Q on protecting your cities

Just some guessing but there are probably a couple of things to unpack here. First, you need to ensure that you are now receiving victory points for the captured city and these require at least 51% loyalty. Check the Strategic Atlas for the relevant city and do not even consider not leaving a garris...

Re: "Troops to Mantua" takes 80%+ of Imperial Forces

Am curious as to whether deleting some of the units included in the event might help a bit. Right now the HRE_TroopsToMantua event in the HRE_TheThirtyYearsWar_Events.sct file lists a powerful, balanced force of 16 units that will be removed due to the Mantua evert turn with no Max_Date limiter. Cannot recall any significant stability issues when last I played a four-person scenario using the version 1.08Q patch. Re: Fix for Missing Brest-Litovsk Fortress

You may be correct that the two forts were omitted intentionally but I think probably not. That said, have never used the Gallipoli invasion option in the Grand Campaigns and in the 1915 scenario, both Sedd ul Bahr and Kum Kale are already occupied by elements of the British Fifth Army . In the Gran...
