Fully agree with all his points. Well said. if you manage to do what is written here you'd have a game that does actually represent WW1. Though for me it has one major issue I still really enjoy the game. After 60+ hours playing the game I thought I would post some constructive suggestions here. Fir...

Some aspects I do like. Love the detailed reports and chrome you can read through at the end of each turn. I also like the combat and all the modifiers. However as a game supposedly being about WW1 I have to say WW1Gold comes out well ontop. WW1Gold mechanics which changed from movement warfare to s...

WOW by March '15 your in German territory all the way upto Frankfurt.. Sets of alarm bells to me. One reason for the War going static was lack of Arty and Arty ammo, immense fatigue on both sides plus the weather. Really to be remotely like the period if the Central Powers don't manage to take Paris...

Mainly line straightening or trench raiding though usually by a General wanting to make an impression. Once the tench system came along really it was mainly large offensives during campaign season of any note at Grand Strat scale.

Books. Anyone want a list of op WW1 books?

I have a fairly decent WW1 library of over 200 books (I had more I inherited bu had to send them to a charity as I had no room). The ones I still have range from good to absolutely superb. So if you fancy my absolutely superb list then tell me and I will send it to you :) . One issue is I have littl...

General attrition

Not talking about the method of Warfare but sickness. Troops at Gallipolli suffered terribly with dysentery etc and then we had lots of illness in the trenches during winter with frost bite, colds and general flu. Then we have things like trench foot (esp in muddy\waterlogged areas) and finally towa...

This is the reason why I love he game and no other WW1 game has comes close. It actually plays along the right lines as the War developed without railroading the player into static warfare through the use of heavy modifiers restricting you so in other games in effect you have exactly the same mechan...

I presume you never managed to do it? I'd love monthly turns myself. You can edit out the spelling errors easily enough making changes like giving the Grand Fleet its correct title since by the time the game starts it was no longer designated "Home Fleet". Hopefully they will correct the spelling mi...

Any chance modding the battle log info

What I'd like to do is give the battle logs abit of immersive creative writing in it to make it read less dry. Though Id need to be able to have a number of descriptions describing an attack or defense to stop it repeating to much and give it some variety. MrC if it's not possible can you make it po...

I'm not keen on grand Strat games as tactical is more my thing. I also had problems with the tutorial but man...
