I think if you are Polish it would be rather better you look for Habsburg&Ottomans wars. :)

Re: Second Post Release Patch

I think it wasn't all about Karl's war. Remember Peter of Russia was successful about modernizing clergy and army while III. Selim wasn't successful in janissaries. Pruth Campaign could be important as an option although game campaign isn't about Ottoman&Russian wars.

Re: Second Post Release Patch

It was not a mercenary army who pick sides about who bribes. Previous Grand Vizier didn't favour war with Russia. But with Mehmed Pasha*, Giray Khan and Charles convinced sultan to go to war. For Crimean Tatars reason is obvious, Russian expansion. For Ottomans it was to take control of Azak fort ag...

Re: Second Post Release Patch

Historically a very important event was king Charles XII exile in the Ottoman Empire 1709-1714. Is this event possible in the game? It would require a very specific set of circumstances to happen. Such as Sweden somehow ending up in Ukraine, suffering a devastating defeat there combined with the su...

I try to follow Loki100's most AAR's including recent WiTW and PON AAR's. I'm very glad he did it. Unfortunately I don't know those games very well to ask a question or comment well to a situation. :bonk:

Niche topics about civil wars in old engine. More popular civil wars could be in new engine. Although I think old engine capable for many things. ! :siffle: Miguel's Espana and Andatiep's RUS.

Re: Outofeight gameplay review

I think it is more about how much they know about the conflict. It can be important for player rather than actual gameplay to evaluate difficulty. Italy Campaign shouldn't be difficult than Wars in America or AJE smaller beginner scenarios. New players can start with this game I think.

AAR section is locked. I post here. :leprechau Spanish Succession Campaign. I did the mistake to merge main force with the fixed art battery . Merry Christmas guys! Strategic Command is a good series, tho I haven't tried the latest SC3 title. We did find SC WW1 Breakthrough fine with a pbem player from this forum but he keeps telling me Altaris mod is better. There is definitely more lore in Ageod games ! :) I think gameplay from WW1 brea...

Great Mithridatic War

In our 3 player pbem game Romans put a bounty on Sertorious head and he also achieved alliance with Pontus. But after the alliance event fired (I spend -15 EP) 4-5 turns later -now it is turn 35- there is no increase in ship pool for Sertorious. Will it be later. I plan to conquer remaining Ibericus...

I thought Roman consuls at start always acticated. As Random mentioned it can be related to their strategic rating and can not be active sometimes.

Re: (BOR - Punic Wars) Roman Consuls Won't Fail Activation Rolls

It can be WAD but I'm not sure. Romans could use night crossing option at start. As it is mountain terrain they won't be defeated easily in Messena.

Edit: Ooops may be I understand your question wrong! :bonk:

They think new born state under common language even under dictatorship is progress. Hard to blame but todays marxist militia will be tomorrows police and soldiers under strict government control. Not related to Spain. I know very few  , visited only once Barcelona.

Re: All are republican!

About the referendum, it could have happened somewhat pacefully, but I think Madrid has used provocative agents to make it dirty and then treat this with violence (instead of politically) on all, using these bad laws of 2015. In the middle east separatist groups mostly use unfair tax or&and exp...

Thanks. I was controlling Reds and I pick 'Reds united' in the game beginning. Internationalists want 4 cities captured after Whites made alliances with other nations. I've lost total 24 NM in 4 turns and many VP until Polish victory event fired. Now VP is below zero but Red Army is saved ! :dada: N...

Polish victory event

In our 3 player Pbem game Poland had a quick victory and Wrangel forces were partially isolated from that event in middle 1920 as date. I think even those forces were against the Revolution they need fair traitement. Event mostly punish Southern Whites then Reds.

Re: Losing Commander in Chief

I also think stationary CiC is good. What it would really enhance gameplay -or more control of hierarchy- would be if corps commaders can manually pick CiC superiors. Example in our pbem game Tukhachevsky just east of Kursk and Muraviev just north of Kursk decide to attack the city. Engine picks Mur...

Losing Commander in Chief

By not moving CiC out of region and when they are not combined with units which are defeated by enemy, they stay in region as CiC after city lost. Gamey situation is to leave them in region alone. Although they can train units. It would be good if they are treated like support units that they can be...

I think RuS Gold very dynamic game. But also has great micromanagement in it. As Red, commissar and cheka units necessary for each stack. Also detachments, partisans play big role. Playing against 2 White players very exciting. :feu:

I spread grenadiers so only 1 unit in each brigade. They are elite inf and they get less replacements. The more they get spread less they are target.
