Purchase of 3 replacement elements of PEA cavalry cost 66 pounds 15 WSU.
Where as new fresh cavalry unit of PEA cost 76 and 15 WSU.

There are players who likes to play with familiar opponents.
But you may want to join this club.

Re: What is the secret to buying reinforcements?

I've started playing from vanilla RuS version. I think it may be a bit easier for me, solo play. Yes it is better overall in pbem play. But Reds against White AI may provide challenge, when AI difficulty setting increased.

Re: What is the secret to buying reinforcements?

Swedish scenario was a bit difficult for Sweden side but as Ripster8 mentioned some Ageod games are designed to be played pbem. Failure in some critical moves may put opponent in bad situation just like AI play in TYW. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3924400 With complicated division stru...

I've played 2 times with an opponent who has windows XP and I have win 7 64 bit system and I think we both have not so good computer. Still not much lag I think. I don't know well Win 10.

It reminds me the novel of Yasar Kemal whose character early 20's of age retreat with his cavalry to Toros mountains. Folktale tells he didn't die after 17 bullets in his body.

On a further note what it was thought to us in back in school was Pruth Campaign could be an end to Russian modernization if maintained by a decisive victory.

I think France player don't have much reason not to attack Austria in 1805. Can easily conquer most territory against combined forces of Kutuzov and rest of Austrian army if didn't sign Pressburg.

I think the base chance is 50% per city level; more city level more probability to form multiple garrison. Autogarrison only formed by predetermined faction for grand regions in the scenario, loyalty is not important I think.

Re: Take Tzarist before December 1918?

Capturing Tzaritzyn before late 1918 is not much possible in a pbem. Infact Western Whites need Eastern Whites support later in game if ever going to capture Tzaritzyn. For the 2nd condition of alliance option, it is not good enough for W. Whites to be idle. Capturing all Southern Theatre south to T...

Re: Solitaire Man

I strongly suggest playing 2 player pbem than spending time on solitaire. 4 nations by one player 3 by other. It is not best but it is good practice to gain experience in most troop types and increase campaign knowledge. It doesn't take too much time once OOB shaped. France is quite strong in conque...

Re: RUS Gold - Number of Turns in Campaign

It may seem short in turn number but it takes long to prepare the moves for the turn. It feels as like long turn based games. You have to change in strategy not in every 5 turns but in a turn maybe in comparison. It is busy game.

I think Pressburg peace option could be signed immediately when Vienna captured. Pbem player may decide to conquest and beat rest of Austrian army. It results chase and destroy condition lowering NM.

I think additional group leader bonus -besides stack commander bonus- more important for firing phase but I don't put art in a group. Mostly inf only and a cavalry. Cavalry could have more use in a group for the assault phase. When moving sometimes I detach art for faster moving to towns.

Re: Question on White Military Dictatorship Event

Declaring war on Romania could be very good plausible move in a weekly turns I think; it is fast. I think overall Red Army isn't sufficient at attacking. In your previous post I think there wasn't an engineer unit. With 200 entrechment it is quite a loss. I think as you mention it is engine than des...

We have played with Krot and Old Fenrir pbem with the mod before RUS gold. Fine mod overall. As me Southern Whites couldn't capture Tzaritzyn. Siberian Whites couldn't move further than Kazan. We did a house rule Czech legion shouldn't cross Volga river. Modded the NM cost of battles when needed. I ...

POW commit suicide event come recently as playing Cantabri. It subtracts -1000 POW per 5 EP. I think any player would have difficulty playing as Romans. Still it is not decisive victory for Cantabri for the limited number of supply wagons to siege further .

Another thing for siege consideration I think is the amount of supply wagons given in a scenario. In Cantabrian wars there are only 2 for Cantabri. Also cards for increasing Roman loyalty is available. While it is not possible for the other side. It is good balance for comparative strenght of the ar...
