Some impressions concerning the AI in beta 5: Grand Campaign, Prussia human, Austria AI 1. The AI is very active during winter. It keeps on sieging and moving its troops. 2. The Russians seem to hide behind their Iron Curtain, being the Polish border. In none of the campaigns I've played did they ev...

Maybe in historically, but in terms of gameplay it prevents decisive victory. so different random results can be simulated in each battle.maybe they rest 3 days and fight again if they have near same cohesion and army size,it depends on opinion of course, in my grands campaign my british generals w...

I think it's less than realistic to have 3 battles with the same army in less than two weeks. No eightteenth century commander would have risked it and it is probably the main reason why many players end up with their armies depleted very quickly. Perhaps commanders who lost a major battle should be...

The other options (Danzig, and Ferdinand of Brunswick to Hannover) give the same error. Again, just choosing 'no' will let you continue.

I had a similar problem yesterday. When I opened the dialog box to evacuate Wesel, I got a message about an error and whether to send a report to Ageod. To my surprise, when I choose 'no', the dialog box appeared and I could make my choice and process the turn without further troubles.

First off, as Squarian points out, this is all getting serious off-topic. Still, since you seem to miss the point: I'm not saying that a cavalery brigade should be able te take level 2 or 3 fortresses in one turn, I was just stating that siege warfare was not the core of the 7YW. Fortresses were imp...

I count 18 sieges, mostly resolved within the month (id est: within two game turns) in the European theatre. More over, quite some of the sieges were conducted against the same places (Dresden and Schweidnitz). Compare this to the battles fought: http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php?title=Battles ...

7YW was about forts. Holding and sieging forts. Really? Would you care to name a few important and long-lasting sieges? I know Schweidniz changed hands a few times, and Prague was besieged in 1757. But apart from those... As far is I know, fortresses lost most of their importance during the War of ...

Some ideas

Great job with RoP. I have some remarks/ideas that I wanted to post: 1. In my 1.01i games, the Austrian AI tends to withdraw his armies to off-map Hungary, never to leave the area again. That off course kills any challenge a game with Prussia might pose as you can simply wipe out some small detachme...
