I thin in theory you can reduce resources - the main issue would be what to do about the structures that are now present in excess of the limit, especially if there are structures from different nations.

For Turin you are ignoring the possibility that Italy chickens out, or that a French player would prefer Italy not unified so doesn't participate, or that there is a was and it ends in stalemate. Also if details of the Polombiers treaty had leaked then Austria would have been able to justify not sta...

But part of the wars outcome was that Austria was unable to intervene to restore the Status Quo. If Austria had won the war that would not be the case. This isn't to say that there should not be other events later - such as a similar effect during the 7 weeks war. If Central Italy is a recurring pro...

I don't think the .tag file is used for anything other than identifying when a backup turn is for. It should not effect the processing date - and if the script report is for 2402 then the tag would also have to be 2402 or earlier. I looks more likely that you started a new GC before looking at the s...

The game refers to these as inventions - rather than technologies. I don't think they are hard coded - I think it is just that there is a small chance of discovering them each turn. A 1% chance means it takes about 4 years - but one nation may take a month and another 8 years.

I think dropping the diplomatic relations between France and Italy required by the treaty of Polombiers from 25 (slightly friendly) to 0 (neutral) is wrong. I don't think it is in any way difficult for a player to achieve. A better solution would be to add events that make shift the relations that w...

Partly WAD. Probably the developers wanted to simulate the resistance of the governments/parliaments to build newer ships when the older were perfectly usable. If you want to scrap them, delete the whole unit. While there should be reluctance to replace serviceable ships - the situation here is too...

One thing that confused me is the image on a counter updates to reflect the most recent tech, so a sail battleship squadron will show as a coal battleship if that is the era you are in (not the individual counter but the collective on map unit image). That is a limitation of the engine. The squadro...

The compromise happened at that point as an indirect effect of loosing the war quickly. This left Austria in an unstable state and to stabilize the country needed Hungarian support and the compromise was the cost of getting that support. In another situation the compromise could be the cost of getti...

Historically the German minors were opposed to being unified with Hungary, and Hungary was opposed to being unified with German minors. The consequence is that Austrian attempts to unify with Germany would lead to disunification with Hungary. The first stage of disunification was the Dual Monarchy. ...

There are two sets of events.

One set produces replacements every February - if you have 1, 3 or 7 shipyards turned on.
The second set produces merchant ship units - this is triggered by the number of transport replacements stored (I think 6 for the first, 12 for the next) and the tech available.

This is like the Hospital Ship, the tech works exactly as it is designed to. You don't know that. I believe the design intent was that you have to get the dreadnought invention before you can get the deadnought technology which adds the Dreadnought units to the forcepool. Thus the implementation wh...

I suspect that most of what they lost they can't replace - I think that once they loose the non-prussian units they can't replace them as they aren't in the force pool. However they are also not taking conscripts for maintenance so more will be available to build new units.

I'm sorry to see that PoN perpetuates that silly 'right of passage' nonsense. There is a land theatre view - but you then have to find every XXX general in the theatre or who will move through it.

Simply making the theatre mode show sea theatres, and to show details of the theatre's CinC - in the same way the supply filter shows supply information.

Units upgrade automatically if you have the replacements. Some settings (IIRC historical attristion) require they be on a depot. Some can't upgrade as you can't have replacements for them. Merchants (as opposed to transports) might be better in a MTB - IIRC these are tagged as CMN rather than nation...

I haven't played AJE but I would expect it to be similar - you could try looking at the settings of the two and see if it there is anything different. From memory there are one or two settings that can effect performance but where it isn't obvious from the description that it will.

remember though that the Theatre CinC can shift from turn to turn and stack to stack. The implementation of weapon upgrades is a little silly. In theory the 10% should be enough. However there are two early upgrades that you can research in either order, however the second is only applied after the first - so if you research the first one last you then get the two upgrades one after another so you need 20% of your pool. I think the hits wi...

I suspect it is WAD and a bug. Releasing a nation should release the nation, not just its capital region. I like to see a eco-strategic game (PON engine) covering the Spring and Autumn, and Warring States period of China. By Civil War mod do you mean the Civil War DLC (expansion) Shell32 is an odd place to be crashing.
