Use them to garrison coastal cities or capitals (state).

No sense letting them kick their heels in Richmond

Hurry back!

This is excellent so far. I knew most of the information already, but it's the little things i didn't know which make this so enjoyable.

If another experienced player could weigh in with their opinion as well,it would be great.

I might actually win a game now!! :bonk:

Is it worth updating though?

I mean, does it alter the gameplay in a major way that improves it, or is it just fixing small errors that you don't really notice unless your looking for them?

From the description of the alterations, the latter seems more accurate.

Promotions - good or bad?

hey guys, sorry if this has been covered before but, should you always promote your generals when you get the opportunity? sometimes after a big battle i can promote all involved which is good early on but seems rather silly in mid '63. i've got four armies, all led by 3-star generals, and now i've ...

I'm sure i read somewhere that when you assault a fort you should put your troops on a DEFENSIVE stance for the first turn so they just invest the fort and take potshots to try to breach the walls. then next turn, assuming you've made a breach or two, you go over to full offensive and storm the plac...

so you can't shift click orders to 'stack them up' all in one turn? it's extremely frustrating to move cavalry into a province that's only 3 days away and then findthey just have to sit there twiddling their thumbs for two weeks waiting for the turn to end before you can tell them to start ripping u...
