Okay I've encountered a definite bug. In early November 1852 the game spit out in the events tab of the log: "evt_nam_AUS_LandswehrAbolished1852_ON" instead of enabling me to access the event and its choices. I am uploading a screenshot and the turn file. I can confirm that the reading remains there...
Okay my apologies. Apparently it was some earlier turn. I've just switched off my computer and went to sleep, and when I opened the game again, both the line and the option in "government" tab was gone.
My apologies if I wasted your time. I will be much more careful next time.
Hello, I've just encountered bug with the Austrian Constitution event. Unfortunately, it's still not working properly. I've made the choice to revoke it, and next turn the events log just spit out what I guess is a programming line. The option to revoke the constitution hasn't disappeared from among...
Well, a 3 star can get killed in regular battle with regular orders. I once lost Beauregard in such a battle by fall 1861. And he was lost in a battle he won. I experienced exactly the same, but Bureaugard has his HQ unit at very low strength in the beginning of the game, so my guess is that he was...
Hello I am having a huge problem. Whenever I try to open a turn I've just processed for my PBEM counterpart, the game crashes. We're on a second turn of the grand 1861 campaign w/kentucky. 12:32:47 (Reporting) User: Michal Computer: SKRYTEZLO 12:32:47 (Reporting) Loading general settings 12:32:47 (R...
Hello, I'm looking for a PBEM opponent to play either side in the grand campaign with me (1861 - 1865 with Kentucky). You can write in this thread, or write me an email, if you're interested. We'd be playing with some modest house rules: July 1861 W Kentucky Fog of war: Yes Activation rule: High (no...
Coldsteel ask away about corps and divisions, I'll be happy to help. It was difficult for me in that regard as well, but after some time it becomes quite easy to create and manage those units.
There seems to be too much of war supply available for both sides of the conflict. The CSA is able to build tons of monitors and ironclads (in my latest game CSA built about four river ironclads and two seaborne monitors) and the union is able to (with only marginal investments) have surplus stockpi...
Hi, I'm playing a game with Charles here, and I've ran into a rather nasty bug. I've been surveying the map, pondering what should I do to stop the almighty CSA, and I've been reviewing several times my expenses. Suddenly when I open the ledger, I notice I'm one thousand dollars in surplus. This app...
Hello, I'm quite new to this game, but I'd like to try and play the full grand campaign with someone. I'd prefer the Union side, but I'm up for anything.
I could do several turns a day most likely.
Please email me at greenalien.greenalien[at]gmail.com if you'd like to play.
Okay I found definitely an unwarranted experience increase. Ft. Henry Garrison has gained a star of experience, even though it has not been engaged in any fights whatsoever. Bump. This is a bug that can be repeated by the way, happened twice out of two games, both times in the early turns. Here's a...

Can I get a response to this? I've attached a file to that post where the bug can be seen.

Okay, I think I've found an instance of a unit increasing in experience without training or fighting. Be patient with me please, this bug is difficult to hunt down because there's so many units that can gain experience in so many ways. I'm using 1.08 patch. The unit which I suspect to have increased...
Well, I'd just send all the files that belong to a turn. Both .trn files, maybe history file and replay files. Sending save files for units receiving experience without combat will be difficult, because it happens all the time, and usually at very obscure places, so you won't notice it the turn it h...
I have to agree. Despite all the quirks and issues, I still think this is a solid game model. I complain a lot about technical issues, but despite all that I believe Ageod games have an excellent design, and I'd like to thank Ageod for doing what they do.
Thanks for the tip! The FPS I get in game seems to be around 6-8. The turn processing is of course also very long. It's a shame because the game seems otherwise really interesting. In menu I get the standard 25 FPS.
Well I just played the demo and I am a little bit surprised by how poorly my computer (intel core 2 duo 2.2 Ghz) is performing, considering the requirements say even Pentium IV should be able to run it. I've read this thread through and through for suggestions, lots have been offered, but did any of...
