CP loses something like 20NM in 1916 due to Franz Jospeh and the Czechs, this needs to be compensated by an early lead in 1914-1915. I usually get a lead of 10-15 NM by late 1915 and i am prepared for the losses of 1916. However, ever since NM balancing came, my lead is less than 5NM, twice or even ...

@seathom
AGEOD games do have terrific attention to detail and historical accuracy but one thing they lack is a strong AI opponent, that is why the PBEM route is appreciated by most AGEOD veterans. Play the game against the AI to test your theories and then go PBEM.

@vaalen
great reply.

@philthib
does this mean - Rise of Prussia and TEAW can make a "GOLD or GOLD++" re-appearance with a better engine and better graphics but same attention to detail as before?? :thumbsup:

Warsaw, Lublin, Lodz etc are large cities and produce a lot of Supply and Warsaw produces AMMO also.
You need to take those cities.

I am still looking for a WE player, if you are not a fan of WE you can take CP also. We have a EE player (Phaelot) and myself as CP/WE.

@Altaris The NM re-balancing decisions can be removed from 1914 (if agreeable) and can be made applicable from 1915 onward, as it often happens that you gain a NM lead and then get a double whammy of "Lost battle + Balancing" which results in massive (as much as 6-7 NM) loss and then you actually en...

TEAW - Closed for now

Guys, Looking for a 3 player TEAW game, haven't played for about 8 months now, but would like to restart. Hate the AI and hence the MP. Open to sides picking- can be discussed. PBEM play is best- by e-mail of-course. Have house rules which are again open for discussion. EDIT: Thread is OPEN again.

It is useful in SP, but avoid it in MP as the USA will enter the War and truly destroy the chances of CP winning.

Do not use the "Auto Replacements". You should build new corps, since you have a shortage of manpower, use your existing militia to form- "Fortress Corps" - 1*Infantry+1*Militia+1/2*Artillery=1 Corps, about two dozen of these can be created by mixing and matching and purchasing judiciously, they can...

I sort of remember PHILTHIB (the DEV) telling me that it was only a UK specific event, but i may be wrong. Marines and Mountains are specialist troops and tended to cost a lot of TIME and MONEY to train and arm. that is why your numbers are limited. The Cavalry is useful in early part of 1914 till Trench Warfare Starts (they can cover a lot of ground and capture Northern Belgium or even Northern France o...

@Stelteck In Battle No:1, you had more than 2:1 superiority in men and nearly 2.5:1 superiority in guns (and i suspect you had a lot of Mediums and Heavies in your arsenal). In Battle No:2 & 3, your enemy was playing "emotionally or desperately" as he attacked with numerical and artillery inferiorit...

As per my knowledge, HA is a must, however, Forts do act as HA, so maybe that is what it is. This was discussed in the BETA phase and it was agreed that HA should be a necessity. The reason- you want your guns to throw shells far into enemy territory such that your own troops are not part of "Collat...

Reload your save of the "previous turn then or the one of 2 turns before". AGEOD games store the values for 3 turns. So, it should work.

It increases the combat power slightly, maybe 10-20% and also generals having attributes pass them onto their troops.

It is not a very great place to be in. A couple of Cavalry Divisions + 1 Infantry Corps is what is the maximum effort you can support.
I prefer the Sinai to Mesopotamia.

You can use some useless 2-1-1 generals on Forts and use the others to form corps.
2*1 Infantry + 1/2 medium artillery is a good corps formation and you can form several independent corps, it is esp. useful in the Eastern and Balkan Fronts as Germany.

Did you by any chance put them in a port with (green)/(green) posture?
If so, you need to reload your save, the Game AI starts to rebuild "missing units" if you have "replacements available" and your ships are in a port with (g)/(g).
