Havi has had to pull out of the tournament due to personal reasons.

It has come to my attention that Lindi is unable to continue the tournament, and thus he withdraws as well.

Thus the winner of the Seraphim/Havi contest will win the tournament.

I have to apologize to those following this tournament. I had a large project at work, and missed most of May and June, thus the tournament has gone slower than anticipated. The games are both at/past turn 24 currently. I hope to be able to speed up the playing.

For the depot, you need 4 elements of supply wagons, or transport ships. They are very expensive to construct.

If this does something to the game, then that is a problem indeed. Pocus, Do you know if it will be a problem or not? I can send you the sav...

Question about units with 0 for names. I am hosting the CW 2 tournament, and 1 player's troops now show 0 for names. Most of the time the US congress is 0-0-0. Sometimes they give a +1 somewhere (rare). Lincoln's your best president. The 1850's presidents are mostly pretty bad.

Different cities have different build values. A build value is how much a city can produce (in troops). Buildings within the city can increase the build size. Also, the build value is reserved for units already in production. So for example, if you build an artillery in Paris, you may not be able to...

I don't believe those are Ottoman troops, look more like Bulgarians, but the commander is Ottoman. It's possible that he was outside the area of surrender, and thus didn't. That would probably be a bug.

Sorry, I was not clear. The USA has a +1% to the WE per turn, and they have the magic override. So the US moves towards Britain/France at 1% per turn. A German diplomat can keep the US neutral during the entire war (as they diplomat has a chance for +2% each turn).

nope. In beta, you could get the US to join the CP. That was changed prior to release. If the US gets to 100% CP, they reset to 99% CP. The only thing it does is delay the US entry into the war. In 1 PBEM, a game ended with the US still at 50% CP alignment. So no USA troops in the war.

The only reason to put heavy artillery in a corps is to lower the command point cost of the stack. I have done it once, as I felt I needed the stack at 0% penalty, so moved the artillery into the corps. That's the only reason.

Supply should need 25% (if it hasn't changed). Distance should still be 5 (was that in earlier games).

With that noted, ammo has a tough time moving across the map (low priority, and low quantities vs. supply). So you need to move the ammo wagons back to base to get the ammo to the front.

I don't understand what the effect is here. The total number of steps is still the same, isn't it? An example to explain my point (not that these are the exact values, but it helps). One thing to note on the shore bombardment. Don't do it with a fleet containing transports. They tend to get smacked around and sunk. For some reason the coastal artillery likes to hit transports. Yes you can make them attack by using distant unload. The fighter can upgrade in other countries (Brita...

Hey Sir Garnet, Kinda Close. Some countries have a GHQ (Britain/France/Germany x 2/Austro-Hungary/Russia). Italy and the Ottoman Empire also get GHQs when they join. For the game engine to call it a win. Every person is different, but most I know say that if you avoid a defeat as the CSA, you have won. The problem is the VPs are very weighted towards the Union (in easily captured by the union areas). It's almost impossible to get a victory by VPs as the CSA.
