Wish I could see the other side to check that they at least were suffering as well but that option didn't seem to be there on load - also would have helped if Congress has voted the manpower increase but "c'st la vie". I might wind it back as many turns as I can and see if I can do better

I'd sussed that when I noticed that it was allowing road in places that has a road already. It is a bug I reckon since the tootip for the mission explicitly says that track is the highest for this. Otherwise a railroad for only a few 10's of cash and manufactures is a bit of a bargain

The DirectX to main (burst mode) crash turned up for me this morning. There was nothing special going on as all I was doing was trying to play US peacefully. If you try to run to next turn on resumption but a small change seems to be enough to stop the crash

Was just a thought though. Could not the installer take the old win.ini file data in and copy back out things like the serial. Or at least a file for newbies like me :-) with a name like "THINGSTOCHECK.TXT" (We have them in my system to remind ME) Just to cut down stuff like ths

Found it as well

Just went through that in full debug mode i.e. I looked at what was there after an install when it worked and not. After having to unprotect it so I could edit the file. (I hate Vista security!) Now another error

I ran the patch as administator and win.ini changed to a Jan date OK. Now I am getting a Serial Key invalid error!!?. So I uninstalled and reinstalled from the disk and it ran ok with the number from the book back and then updated again - same error. I looked in the config program and it is OK - so ...

Version number not updating OK

Just a check. I installed the game andthen the patch but the main screen still shows 1.01. Yes I have checked the .exe and it says 1.0.5.5. Is anything therefore incomplete in the patch.

Just bought game and updated it. Done scenarios and wanted to try the advanced model in the campaign game having done it in the scenarios Playing a relatively normal Entente vs the CP Moltke plan I appear to have only 3 activatable armies. No French + Russian 1+2 an Serbia. So Do Russ 1 and move it....
