Setting texture size to the 2nd lowest setting has completely fixed my crashes. And I mean 20+ turns without crashes! Also have memory utilization set 2nd lowest. Nvidia 980gtx, but I think this would apply to all nvidias. The d3d8.DLL enb wrapper didn't help, even though the log file noted it succe...

Fort Cost

So I was scratching my head for hours last night in vain trying to figure out the fort build / upgrade cost. The manual says a fort requires 2 supply units and 4 artillery batteries (aka artillery elements), with the tooltip in-game being even vaguer about the exact numbers, yet still mentioning sup...

You have to move the fleet into an adjacent water region in order for the amphibious move to work. The distant unload button will not move the fleet and the army it holds automatically, you have to manually move the fleet stack yourself.

Thanks for the comprehensive response! So there's a risk associated with overstacking a region, since there's a chance one of your stacks might do poorly in combat and will cause ALL of the region's stacks to retreat, even if some were capable of winning the fight but for one reason or another faile...

Question about Multiple Stacks in Same Region

How does combat work when a region with multiple stacks, each stack having sufficient CP's, is attacked? I know frontage comes into play here but would each stack come into battle at different times or would the highest ranking, most senior general command all the stacks with the likely CP penalty o...

I agree, the Camillan legions are still formidable, but since there are so few of them, you really have to think about how to devote your Consuls' forces more. Also, the forced rotation of the Consuls throws another variable into the mix... I'm also enjoying the quick load times that the small theat...

PBEM Password Crash

Hi, I'm attempting to play the Y4E Scenario, and I set a password under the Turn Compression option. I'm playing with one other Human opponent. Once I loaded in his ORD file, I ran the next turn, but the game asks me for a password before it will load the master file. This password does not correspo...

[AJE] Relatively new player looking for a PBEM game

I'm a pretty new AGEOD game player, but I think I've learned the fundamentals and have completed 2 campaigns successfully so far (Marius in MvS, and Vespasian in Y4E). I'm up for any scenario really, just itchin' to find a human opponent! :)
