I can see where he is coming from. Here in my town, we in learn in AP American history that one of the main reason why Germany surrenders is not because they were being soundly beaten, but because of the US's manpower reserve, all four million men. US may have not committed as many troops as the oth...

I must compliment you on your color coordination and combination, it makes for a very smooth transition, yet somehow it is stark and pleasing to the eye.

If you're playing with counters I find moving it over the flag of the counter works.

So I suppose having a sig advertising paradox is wrong ;)

Nah I would never do that. A sig and an avatar is nothing to absentmindedly fill, and one requires great thought.

So much thought in fact that I still don't have either...

IIRC, what I did was move an army to a zone with ships. Then I was able to set where my armies could go on the European coast (I was playing britain at the moment). I didn't know if it worked as either WW1 or my computer crashed.

I don't remember using Naval Convoy...

In combat, in real life, things are not determined by die rolls. If you have taken all "necessary" steps as the player, how the dice rolled is ... how things happen. Arne: Do think I am a "blabbering fool??" t Things are determined by chance, no? In my opinion, those die rolls simulate chance. And ...

There are very few games that show "die rolls"...at least none of ours ;) I think I have been confused evermore... This statement in the manual is the cause of all the confusion. Combat is then solved by random rolls, but each roll in each round can be influenced by 2 important modifiers: So I am c...

Where oh where are the combat rolls?

One thing that has particulary bugged me is that in combat, there are random rolls that determine luck and chance, but they are never displayed! I can see the battle round displayed but nothing indicated if I rolled a high number. I just hate it when a weak unit on the attack beats my elite unit in ...

You mean to say that all these awesome computer games I see paradox and ageod making, are off shoots from board games?! :mdr: I can only imagine setting up one of those games. For example EU...do you need 150 + some odd people to play? ;) Well...in my defense I know diplomacy is a board game :bonk:

As far as I know, dragging one army onto another flag's seems to do the trick. :D

But yes, I agree, merging needs to be improved (maybe have it as an army command?)

You are talking 1740 - 1786, right? I can think of a few interesting events that could be modeled in there! Though where would the game be focused? As if it is just around Prussia or around the whole world would be quite a difference. Or shall it be like EU3, centered around Europe yet the whole wor...

There is a bug with air battles right now. Also, altough it should be largely okay now, the 4 players GC is still not perfect for single player games, because it was meant to be a multiplayer scenario, so we did not focus much on testing possible AI issues with it. So just to be on the safe side, I...

I think that if I want a historical simulation I will go and get one. If I want to go and do a world conquer as the Iroquois in EU3 I think I may and well do that. Though in paradox's defense you can set historical options on (for leaders, advisors, generals), though, imo it is rather a boring game....

I thought I should re-vigorate the topic.

I too have found that I cannot win the Palistine scenario. Even after several major battle wins. It is like I don't have enought time to complete.

My 2 cents

EU3 introduced me to modding, history, programming, life, women. If Ageod can top that then we shall see... ;)
