Clean install, then this patch. I don't see headings. No "total blockade" or "6% war bonds" or even "game options".

Patriot ability

"This leader gives a 25% bonus to the recruiting of patriots and volunteers in the region."

OK... so do militia and irregulars get 25% faster replacement or something? What does this mean? I haven't noticed any raiders or anything spontaneously appearing.

It does, but only if the units are separate and if you have leaders from only one faction in the same stack. If you combine them into a division, it's only 4 CPs regardless of nationality. If they're separate, they cost quadruple CPs, but never less than 4 each. The leader quality in question elimin...

I see you're learning the lesson that the Union eventually figured out: frontal attacks on entrenched enemy positions are costly and far from successful.

There is an update. Overcautious no longer gives a -4 CP penalty. It gives a -1 CP penalty and reduces the chance of being active when in enemy-controlled regions by a percentage equal to MC (not sure if enemy MC or own MC).

AFAIK, in AGE games other than AACW, the only way for elements to reinforce is for them to stay put in a region with their stack fully supplied. Then, you just wait awhile. Basically, the two of you have to declare a truce for a few turns while you recover.

Cleburne got it right. Promoted generals lose half their experience. I take it he had 10 experience when he was promoted, so he would now have 5.

There should be a few generals who have some ability that allows them to lead Indians and U/CSA troops without penalty. The other games (BoA2, NCP, RoP) have similar traits. You noticed that all the Indian units had the trait "this unit is Indian"? Well, that screws up everyone who isn't Stand Watie.

That power number has no actual bearing on the internal calculations of the game. It is a "flavor" number. Die Wuerttemberger sind nicht staerker als jedere andere Maenner.

Gray pointed out that this is supposed to be historically accurate. Hence, your units will be extremely short on supply the whole game. And you know what that does. Also, your NM is low, so your units have about 80% cohesion as opposed to the Union's 95%. Frontage can help, but if your units start r...

No, no problem. It's just that some moderators/volunteers (of which I am neither) prefer everything to be organized. As baris30 pointed out, this did start out as a bug report/tutorial, but it has developed beyond that into an AAR.

Oh. I thought they could. Anyway, some brigades, including militia regiments, can merge. If you have a stack of 2 militia regiments in separate units, ctrl-click on them to select both at the same time. Then find the "merge units" button (a red +); it should be in the 2nd section of commands. Click ...

Good job! Only thing I can think of is to show the results of political actions like the blockade.
