Any chance for a hotfix to get leaders?

Love the game but no countries having any leaders left by 1865 is kinda silly.....

Political actions questions and issues

The Change political regime option is grayed out. I can’t find any perquisites for playing it in the manual or board rules – what are the requirements for Russia to try to change to constitutional monarchy? The board game rules and the text in the action “make promises to Rumania” seems to suggest t...

Sending the Oriental army to Salonika means it dies due to out of supply?

I picked to political option to send a French army to the Balkans.

Surely that can’t be right. What am I doing wrong? The Eastern Med is controlled by the United Kingdom and Greece is at level -3 pro Ententes. Why can’t I supply the French Oriental Army in Salonika?

Just the background graphics. I do get the tooltips and the buttons I can see works just fine. Reloading the game fixes everything and that is no problem until I either leave the PC for a long time (Perhaps the screen saver is to blame) or I Tab out and back in again.

Any way I can take a screenshot to show you? The prt screen key doesn’t seem to work in-game. What I mean is that, often, if I tab out and back into the game the overlay of various combat, production and diplomatic screens are missing so that I see that map instead of, for instance, the battle backg...

Still getting issues with missing overlays periodically.

Still getting issues with missing overlays periodically. Running the “upgrade to gold” version. Restaring the game always resolves the issue but it usually comes back. I uninstalled the game – disabled UCA reinstalled “normal WWI and then the gold upgrade kit. When I start the game up it works fine ...

Swapping the position of 2 armies in turn-based mode?

Swapping the position of 2 armies in turn-based mode? How does one accomplish that? It won’t let me move an army into a hex already occupied by another friendly army? In strict army-based mode I could move one out and then another into the hex but that doesn’t seem possible in turn-based move? Seems...

Weird redeployment issue.

It appears a nation can only redeploy to a hex controlled by that nation. Is this really intentional? It makes little sense that British forces cannot redeploy in France because the hexes are controlled by France and not the UK. Meanwhile the French army can be freely redeployed in France from top t...

Looked long and hard at GOA before settling on WW1G therefore my opinions on the former are based solely upon the reviews and game forum over at Matrix. Three things eventually drove me to choose WW1G and are personal opinions only: GOA and WW1G are two games so completely different in there approa...

Strange, it should work. Take as example the IIst German army in 1914 scenario, that has 2-3 artilleries and you get all them during battle... Perhaps I misread the rule. Heavy – and all other – artillery from army HQ’s show up just fine but the rules (both board and PC version) seem to indicate th...

Two heavy artillery can intervene from the front HQ in every battle?

Two heavy artillery can intervene from the front HQ in every battle? Both the PC manual and the board Game rules say so but I don’t observe that. I have placed two heavy artillery in my main HQ’s on both front and the 2 heavy artillery doesn’t seem to show up consistently as reinforcement to every b...

Any chance for a reprint of the Board Game version?

Having enjoyed playing the PC version I’d really like to try the actual board game version. Unfortunately the thing as been out of print for a long time and used copies s...

Damn – so no great victory parade in Rome after all. I’m quite surprised that France refuse to surrender with just about 2/3 of the country occupied including the capital.

How about having intrinsic corps deployed automatically if there is room in their HQ. If there isn’t have a random non-intrinsic corps placed in the deployment pool to make room? Would make game play a lot easier.

Request: Option to freely assign corps. I understand the whole feature with corps intrinsic to armies in the actual board game. Frankly, in the PC version it just seems a needless complication that doesn’t add anything to game play. I often get a corps I can’t assign to an army because it is full. I...

I’m pretty sure. Check the saved game from the other thread. Oddly enough in the following turn the Japanese army was back in Japan. Unable to move it to Siberia but the error I get is that it is due to bad weather – fair enough in Jan/Feb. I’ll report back if it works in the summer.
