Hey, Arsan, don't sweat it. Lodilefty is FAST.
You both made things a little clearer. But I gotta say this : It ain't, I mean isn't, easy to maneuver regular units through all that wilderness. I tried once & watched them starve to death. I can't even imagine taking a supply wagon throug that.

Hey, thanks guys. I was pretty sure the red flag meant control was disputed (less than 50%). I didn't realize, though I was aware that I had read something about regular units being in the area (I must be going senile!). I'm glad to hear about the Philadelphia NM hit being modified but 5NM might be ...

Two Things

I have two issues that I need a little help to understand. First, I finally achieved (I thought) gaining all the strategic cities in the 1775 Campaign against AI. Unfortunately, when the last turn was over I'm told I didn't win outright. It showed Ft. Detroit with a red symbol with crossed swords. I...

Shipping boxes in WIA do not generate supply. Those messages are unrelated... In 1.05, you will start seeing messages when Privateers earn EP from Shipping lanes. Then I guess I'm missing something else though I do get EP. I guess calling them blockade runners confused me after playing AACW. Stupid...

naval units

Haven't played this game but a few times... This relates mostly to the 1775 Grand Campaign as far as what I'm searching for right now. I was wondering about the blockade runners for the colonies; when I place them in the shipping boxes to increase supply (as compared to AACW CSA), I don't see ANY im...

I don't claim to know all about the things during the American Revolution though I have spent some leisure time studying many individual officers on both sides. Between Gage, Howe & Clinton there are some very distinctive difference between the three of them. Gage was easily the worst of the three &...

Hospital units give you the ability to recover hits faster, I believe it's 10%, maybe 15%. This is only to the formation that it's in. Signal units give 2 more command points to the particular stack they are in. So, in other words, they can help any size formation from brigades all the way to an Arm...

Solowolf has probably given you the best answer though; the default settings do NOT have that option active. But it is a possibility though not a great one.

You might also want to check your options menu to see if you have the inactive officers on. When this option is on the officers that fail the "activation roll" will acquire a lock & you can't do ANYTHING with them until the next turn (or more). This might be the cause of your problem.

I have just acheived FI for the first time (July 62). I'm thinking of landing the BEF at New Orleans or Mobile and moving them into Tennessee. Currently the CSA are holding Paducah, Fort Donelson, Nashville, Bowling Green and Louisville but are out-numbered and spreadout and generally having a hard...

I had the same problem with this game also. I played the American Revolution game &, not once, for the entire game the AI did not move Clinton out of his Canadian stronghold. Hi everyone, For context, I bought the game a while back and tried unsucessfully to master it. I'm back at it again but this time I'm going to ask my "dumb" questions instead of stumbling around with trial and error. 1. From what I've read from Runyon's AACW 101 post, Armies stacks cannot attack wh...

It's possible it's partially solved for the French, but for now, you might have to place CSA Naval supply type units in the Atlantic shipping box to supply the French units (or wait for the British Naval Supply units). When were these French units starving, after FI, or before? If after, the Britis...

I'm not sure as of yet what patch 1.14 will affect as far as FI. I know that you can put it on 4 different settings: Easy, Normal, Hard, & No Intervention. Setting the FI on easy will allow you to trigger it pretty early; as early as late 1862. I've had that happen. If you set it on Normal you're go...

First reason, the french and especially british navies are far more powerfull than Union navy, except if the union player uses the main part of his means in the reinforcement of deep water fleet,...

I don't know if you realize this or not, but if you mouse over those regions you will find that you can't enter those regions in the scenarios until FI is triggered. i.e. trying to move into/attack them won't work. This works much like Kentucky regions in either of the ...w-KY scenarios Now that yo...
