Thanks lodi, overall Athena is still one of the best AI's I have ever seen so some problems are quite ok. Humans make plenty of blunders themselves, me included.

Thanks for the continued support!

Greetings, again.

It has been awhile since I have had the time to play this or any other game I have. I just have a quick question. When I last played, we were at patch 1.03 (I know it's been far to long). There were always issues with the Athena AI and wintering. My question is has this issue been addressed? As it w...

Is this patch compatible if I purchased from Matrix?

Thanks for the work.

You really should never install games on your operating systems partition anyways......

My "c" drive is just large enough for the OS and virtual memory settings.

Every thing else goes as far away from windows as I can get it. :D

Thanks, probably seemed like a dumb question, just wanted to clarify the issue.

Makes the game even harder offensively (which is tough to begin with). And no more just sitting outside in a zone with a fort/city in it.

Love the game, and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Gobble Gobble.

Thanks.

Enjoy the game very much, and it seems this is the only issue I have noticed with an otherwise crafty AI.

Any updates on this issue at all?

It really makes it to easy just to wait for the AI to wear it's armies down through attrition, then attack them while they lay siege in January......

And this is with hardened attrition off for the AI.

Still seems to have this problem. AI wastes it's armies in the winter in the FIW campaign..... :(

Hardened Attrition

Another question. In the options I can't find a setting for hardened attrition. Is there a separate option for this, or is this setting in play when you select the harder historical attrition?

Thanks for the reply. Tried lots of variations of scampering around, splitting Cornwallis's force. Thought I'd got it once - f5 showed I had Charleston and Wilmington + 2 others, but "computer said No" Tried another scenario - Chasing Nathaniel - just to show I can get a win on easy peasy. Back to ...

Questions on looting

I was wondering what all you experts think about looting regions where there is basically zero supply. I know that in the French-Indian War scenario that you get extra VP points for looting, but is it worth while to split up your irregular forces and go on a massive looting spree? I also have notice...

Thanks for the advice on the Montcalm scenario, I just finished it against the default settings for the AI. I have a question about what settings are the best for a little more of a challenge? Or should I just use the default settings and try out the 1755 full scenario? The reason I ask is, I bet th...

Never really liked the game. I came from Dark Age of Camelot were I wasted half my life away though. I just never liked the PvP aspect of WoW. The Warhammer game looks pretty decent(same developers of Dark Age of Camelot, Mythic), I just don't have the endless hours to waste on MMO's anymore though.

Well I purchased the full version of the game, and so far it's been a blast! This game has that magical just one more turn effect once you understand how it works (barely scratched the surface so far). I'm starting out small with the short turn scenarios, once I get the hang of both sides in those I...

Well I have been getting some better results changing the game difficulty and opening the fog of war just to see what the A.I. is doing. I'm starting to get the hang of it, and I love the detail of the game. It will be quite a learning curve, but I think the more I play, the more comfortable I am ge...

Need some advice

I have downloaded the demo and ran through the minute tutorial, but I am really struggling with just about everything in the game. I have been playing war games for some years now but this system seems to leave me dumbfounded at every turn. Is there any decent walk through or guides to be found on t...
