Re: Proper build order for provinces or areas.

Always build structures that produce Legacy points. This is the factor that decides the winner. No it is not. Structures that produce Legacy points are a miniscule factor on deciding who is the winner. Culture is what generates most Legacy by the end game, Legacy producing buildings are a fart in t...

Re: Proper build order for provinces or areas.

As first step, I suggest take a look at https://steamah.com/field-of-glory-empires-tier-lists-guide/ and then bookmark it. It is pretty much an essential reference guide for FOGE; at least I can remember (or so I believe) all the other relevant things in FOGE (the game mechanics are quite simple, an...

The least useful (ie which I have never used except one time each in a test game as I wanted to see what they do) for me have been: Merchants and Patricians (x3) Gather food from the land Those are not useful at all in my opinion. Re: Division composition question

All elements in a division fire on same target (division). If your division retreats, then none of the elements in the division fire anymore. Ie if you have artillery in a division which retreats from the line, then the artillery stops firing. In short, in an army corps you should have divisions wit...

This responds to most of your questions except for the one that Admirals have a very low defensive value (which I agreed). The West Entente has the numbers and quality of ships to keep one fleet resting in Scapa Flow while the other is in a nearby sea region in Offensive/Intercept mode for a couple...

If anybody is interested in learning what is wrong with naval warfare in TEAW, here is a short essay on the matter. 1) Only an idiot is in defensive (or passive) posture when you have an admiral leading the fleet In TEAW admirals have average to excellent offensive values, and essentially zero in de...

Silly question :) Each of the factions have their own discussion threads, and I suppose Japan player will actively take part in that (I don't know though, as I am Italy and will be away and underground until Sept...

There is also no "controversy" in Finland regarding this (as has been sugge...

Guys, if you do not want to have army marching to the sound of guns, you don't park the army so that it will attempt MTSG. Essentially, if you put your army next to your corps, have MTSG "on", otherwise not. If you need to hold two provinces next to each other but don't want to MTSG, then do not pla...

S In a battle where a corps or divisions get mangled, they should extricate themselves before being destroy, and this should be virtually guaranteed whenever there are MTSGing forces to plug the line. Unless you ordered your troops to fight to death, they will. I have a serious feeling this whole i...

Let me put it like this: There is a reason why you can choose to have MTSG "on" or not. The decission is *not* a no-brainer, like many people seem to think. You should always mentally compare the "for" and "against" of the decission wether to have MTSG on or not.

Does it add that the Tsar needed a reason to keep the fleets out in open waters in case war broke out between the UK and France over the January Uprising in Poland, as well? That seems like a more logical reason than showing support for a war that didn't concern them. Yes. It was a "I am scratching...

You can't prevent a player doing raids (or the AI), but there is now auto-garrisons in CW2, so most of the smaller raids will bump against them without you doing anything. Ok, sounds good to me :) Anything that lessens the unnecessary micromanagement hell when defending against raids is more than w...

I see partisan raids is one of the possible decissions. How about "regular" raids which are so frequent in AACW1, and especially how do the player defend against the raids? Some sort of a decission (and possible "counter-decission"), or is it the micromanaging nightmare the whole raiding business an...

A company should advert clearly that their games are DRM-free. Paradox has been very clear about that for a decade already. No Paradox developed games have DRM since EU2; EU2 was the last game with a DRM and the DRM was removed in patch 1.07 IIRC. You don't get any support from Paradox for their ga...
