What naval activity has occurred in your war other then keeping the supply lines to Trieste open? How has the blockade of German / Austrian Ports been doing - You thought that it would not have an effect because they could by materials from other neutrals. Have you found this to be true? Have you co...

You have a could have problem.
"The sultan loses his economic and diplomatic skills. Now I earn 0 diplomats points"

Do you need diplomats to send a peace proposal? I see that you only have two right now.
If so you may have only one shot at imposing the peace you want on the Austrians.

Reconsider your war aims – What do you really want out of it? Give your unquestioned naval superiority; use it to blockade the enemy ports. This will weaken their economies, and therefore reduce the flow of supplies to their troops. This results in supply attrition and the depletion of the replaceme...

The only way Loki has of slowing down the Americans is to win a crisis against them. Even then, as Italy has the bigger starting pot, it will have to offer more, and win bigger. Unfortunately, a crisis doesn't just come along every year, and if it did, there is the chance that events could spiral o...

So critical decision in your game (and mine) was not insuring that the Confederate States were successful in their failed war for independence in 1863 /1864. Thus allowing the full growth of the US economy.

Ah finally able to post to the forum again.... I bought the game because of this AAR by the way, and I find it quite interesting and entertaining. Now a few questions as I have not got very far into the game (Early Oct 1863 Prussia) Do mines in foreign countries generate prestige? Why more coal mine...

As we are looking a small number of units, which I suspected.- should they be modeled as special units at all? Wilder's brigade appears in the game, as well as the 1st and 2nd US Sharpshooters. Breach loading / repeating carbines are already modeled in the game, modeling these special infantry units...

That is true but quite a few Union Army infantry units were armed with repeating and breach loading rifles.

Is this modeled in the game?

Repeating firearms

How are units with repeating firearms modeled? Are they considered elite units?

I am thinking of units armed principally with repeating rifles, not in cases where only a few soldiers are equiped with them.

Mounted Infantry

Should Mounted Infantry have the Cavalry special ability?

The cavalry ability allows the element an easier retreat during the first four hours of the battle.

Should they be elite units? I believe they thought they were.

Non Combat loss of leaders?

However, there has been a recent capability added to the game, that I've yet to have time to implement, and that's a way to increase a General's chance for a combat death after a specified date... This means we can specify specific generals to have a higher odds of a combat inflicted death after th...

Can events be added to remove leaders for non combat reasons? I am particularly thinking of: The murder of Nelson by Jeff Davis Relief of King at Bull Run for medical reasons (epilepsy?) Rodman vs 3 inch Ordance Rifle

Properly Rodamans are seacoast artillery eight inch to fifteen inch diameter bores. The rodman field artillery in the game represent 3 Inch Ordnance Rifle, Model 1861. The three inch ordnance rifle were frequently misidentified as "Rodmans" through there service in the US Army. Terry brought one "ro...

If you do not have to have the same element titles for each side then the possible solution for the CSA could be to replace the title / name for the 6lbr battery - title with Mixed or 12lbr Howitzer batter for the light battery. As in post #3 above, we are considering changing the upgrade path for the 6lber to 12lber. By doing so, over time, the 6 lbers will be replaced by 12 lbers. Currently, the 6lbers are upgraded to 10 lb Parrotts, which though an upgrade, hardly makes sense for an upgrade path. Also the 12 lbers are c...

6lb Artillery retirement

Given histroically few 6lb guns were cast in the early part of the war and generally by late 1862 these were melted down and recast into other artillery pieces. Are they / Should they be removed from the force pool for purchase by June 1862? Replaced by "Rodmans -as these seem to be in short supply....
