I enjoyed playing a board game called "Britannia". I have always wondered if that would make a good pc game.
Also I have played "Kingmaker" as well.

Hi Tamas

I have tried that yes, the task manager opens up and I then spent half an hour trying to get the task manager to close the game but no avail. :( So I just reboot.

Yes, Patrick Swayzee was in North and South but there was a mini series called The Blue and The Gray which starred Stacy Keach and Lloyd Bridges amongst its cast. Gregory Peck played Lincoln.

To be honest I preffered it to North and South but each to their own. :)

Greetings and salutations to you all. :) Been playing the demo over the Christmas period but have found a small problem. When I save and then quit the game it does not quit. It goes to the picture and just sits there. It does not affect the gameplay but is a bit annoying. I have to reboot the pc eac...

I have updated to version 1.12a (RC4) and it appears the problem I was having has vanished.
Now I am very happy with the game. :happyrun:

One book I have read is called "With a Machine Gun to Cambrai" by George Coppard about his actual life as a Tommy during the Great War.

One fictional novel I can recommend is "Covenant with Death" by John Harris. This is a novel yes but is clearly based on a Pals battalion.

I have now reached March 1862 (can't remember if it is early or late :bonk :) and the problem has arisen again. I uninstalled the game, reinstalled and then reinstalled version 1.12a. Played on the full campaign until 1862 and then my recruiting stations have all closed. . One thing I did...

Hi Gray Lensman

Sorry about the confusion (on my part) the version is 1.12a. I have completly uninstalled the game and reinstalled both game and patch. Just started a new campaign and hope (fingers crossed) that the problem was nothing more than corruption on my pc.

Inability ti raise New Units

Hi everyone I am having a small problem with ACW using v1.12. In early April 1862 I go to the reinforcement screen to recruit new units. I have plenty of money (over one thousand), enough companies (over 200) and enough war supplies (over 1000). I then recruit a varied mix of regular, militia and su...

Don't think it is Rio Conchos as that was set in Mexico.

I also have found this but solved the problem myself. All you need to do is keep saying no to the unit you do not wish to rename whilst still holding down the <ctrl> & <alt> keys and it then goes through all stacks in the area. Just keep say no to the ones you do not need to change.
