I understand graphics and sound files take up the bulk of a game install. But Im curious why if "Bloody road" is just scenarios files, ie text files, why is it 1GB in size? why isn't it say, 24MB? Please don't get me wrong, Im not trying to combative, Im just curious.

But if "Bloody Road" only contains scenarios, as the product description says, and only takes a few seconds to install, why is it over 1GB in size?
Im not complaining here Id just like to understand why its so big a file

Bloody Road South download size?

I bought the CW2 and "Bloody Road" yesterday on sale at Matrix. Im curious why "Bloody road" is only 5mb smaller than the CW2 main install? I wondered if it was a "Birth of Rome" thing where is actually was a full install, but not advertised as such. But nope it wont install without CW2 being instal...

I had something very similar happen lastnight when I installed AACW on my Win7 machine. The game and the AGEsettings didn't work right until I applied the 1.17a patch.

Please add WINE support

The older Ageod games play fine and are slightly faster(compared to Win 7 on the same machine) running on Linux.
The newer Ageod games run but there are no units on the map. Theyre there but they aren't displayed.
How much trouble would it be to make the newer games compatable with WINE?

I have this happen about once an hour or so on my older 32bit laptop with 3GB RAM. Im assuming the game needs more RAM than the system has. I just close the game, relaunch it and continue.

I know its probably not as easy as that but I have to agree.

Possible to release database for base game?

Is it possible to release the database files for the base game and its scenarios? Not trying to avoid buying DLC at all, but Id like to have a look at the files and tinker.

I had an issue with Eastern front scenario playing the EE. Many of my stacks had no ammo. They started the game with no ammo, and supply didn't catch up with them either. Stacks that started the game with ammo were resupplied. After reading some of the manual today I believe this is because in this...

Yeah but Im very leary of that. Even if there isn't an event to historically prevent me from doing as I like with the High Seas Fleet, I know I don't have numerical parity with the Royal Navy. Although Id love a chance to stomp on Beaty.

I captured Antwerp fairly easily in two turns in the Western front ten turn scenario. Unfortunately the BEF started landing in strength about two to three "areas" west of Antwerp and turned my flank and I lost. But this was only my first real game. Would sending the Battlecruiser squadron into the c...

Editormode = 0?

In the general.opt file theres a line that says
Editormode = 0

I tried setting this to 1 and could see both sides troops. I did a search and couldnt find anything here in the forums about it. Can someone please shed some light on what this is, and what it does?
