Supply in WIA is a difficult concept to master (or figure out sometimes), but the lack of a complex command structure makes it easier, IMO. No armies, corps, divisions, etc., just a bunch of troops under a leader or two or three. And there are many small scenarios to play around with. I'm still wait...

Command Penalty

During FIW scenario, I have six Provincial units stacked and the tooltip shows each has a command cost of one and there is a 30% penalty. OK so far. When I add a two-star general to the group, the command cost is 24 and there is a 35% penalty. How can the command cost shoot up like that? Is it a col...

You mean WIA folder. Mine is in "C:\Program Files\Wars in America\WIA\Settings\General.opt" and the serial key is in there.

That crossing isn't as small as the one between Brooklyn and New York (Manhattan). They've been talking about building a bridge over that body of water (Long Island Sound) forever, but it's too big to do cheaply. The current ferries do the trip in 1.5 hours. It's roughly 15 miles.

I don't recall seeing any messages about his demise. Is there a way to check back? It looks like I have 24 turns worth of backups in the save folder. I checked the four files in the log folder; it isn't in there.

Where's George?

Does George Washington leave in 1781? He was commanding the Continental Army and now he doesn't exist and the CA is now Lee's Army. I'm playing 1778 Full Campaign.

How Many Henri Bouquets?

How many Henri Bouquets may one have at one time? I have five. Is he a generic general or this is not right?

I'm familar with command radius from other games and I knew that leaders only influenced their stack (which is why I got WIA instead of ACW, simpler). Lines make it easier to see what's what. Thanks for the quick answer.

Command Radius

What is Command Radius? The shift key shows some colored lines, but the manual says nothing about it (other than it is accessed via the shift key).

Question for experienced players

I have played around with the short scenarios and am about to start the full F&I War. I have learned enough to know what questions I need to ask. 1) It seems attrition the crucial element, then supply. I once lost an entire army walking through the snow. I have read the manual and perused this forum...

Confused newb

I just purchased WIA and I'm playing the Pequot War scenario to get a feel for it but some things are happening and I can't figure out why. I moved the Connecticut militia to its objective with an "assault" posture and an "all-out attack" ROE. What happened was a battle which I won and the Connectic...

Demo Victory Conditions?

In the short demo scenario, I have taken both strategic objectives (Wilmington, Charleston) and four other objectives. It says in the ledger I have reached the victory conditions but I always get a "stalemate" result. Is this a demo bug or am I not accomplishing something I need to? If I can't figur...
