Need explanations this morning...

I am replaying Palistine this morning trying to get a good feel for combat and it is coming along. I noticed some beds on the map. I assume they indicate a hospital present. If so, what effect do they have in the game? My GHQ has 2 fighter and 1 bomber units. I would like to assing recon to the figh...

Are there plans to post sections about the more basic aspects of WW1? Things like the battle screen where there are things going on that I can't figure out and the four map modes and the sub modes. Example, the "supply screen. What do the colors mean? There seems to be no rhime or reason. Just a bas...

Have Brits ever won the Palistine scenario?

Seems the attacker is at a big disadvantage in this game.
And a question...The four screen modes...Mil, Strat, Pol., and Diplo...they change color...what is this showing me. The Sub modes in the Military screen...what do the colors mean? Is there a manual section on this?

Tamas, thanks very much. I have another question about movement. The popups suggest using administrative movement when moving armys and corps behind the front lines and not in enemy territory. It also says we can move by rail from one front to the other. This all saves movement points. When I am mov...

Question for those playing with success...

I just got this game and am just getting into it. Like others I am trying to understand what is going on. Have a few questions. What are the best settings to play at? Those enjoying the game, what exact settings are you using? Can settings be prescribed before the scenario starts? Is "turn based" Ig...

Just purchased and downloaded WWI. When I start the .exe file to install I get a message saying...CRC error. Continue? The error message is from Power Archiver that I use to unzip files. Could I have gotten a bad download? I purchased through Matrix and it took over 45 minutes. I just had a feeling ...

Everytime I feel I am ready to dive in and purchase WWI a thread like this pops up. It looks like this is the kind of game i would really enjoy but I'm not taking any more chances. It looks like the small developers use the public for beta testers. I don't know.

Seriously, about this new manual..

I want to purchase and it appears from comments made here that progress is being made. I fear, though, buying without a good manual. I see here where one is being put togeather. Is there a time line yet on when it will be done?

Yes. Thanks for your reply. I have never owned a WWI game. I will end up purchasing this my 3rd AGEOD game but I don't want to spend the $ just to have to put a game on the shelf for a while. Economy not so good here in the US. But we all will be OK when Obama finishes splitting everything up evenly...

Thinking of purchasing...have questions..

I admit that this one scares me a bit, but it looks like it has quite a lot of potential. 1) on the patches. Does the latest patch (beta included) contain all the patches before it? 2) is it true there is no manual? Can one learn sucha detailed game with out a reference to go to? 3) How does this ra...

So what about the Attrition Issue?

The thread has gotten so long and detailed that trying to read it and follow the discussion is giving me a head ache. So where are we headed with this? Seems to be lots of opinions. Is Pocus on board? Will there be official changes? I'm using Jagger's mod for attrition at present. Will that be close...

I agree. I posted this a few months ago :- I just sailed a river transport past Union ships with evade set. I got past and was told I had a 92% chance of success. This seems very high to me on a river. Maybe there is a small chance of sneaking past at night - but 92%? It seems that interceptions on...
