I was hoping to use this mod to keep my interest up for AACW. I could not get the game to work with this mod even though I thought I followed the instructions in the readme that came with the download. I have taken the game off the hard drive for now but am considering trying again. It seems that in...

This would be strange, I havn't seen it. The area you are talking about is the Upland South, I checked weather for swamps in this area. There should be no chance of snow or freeze from March through November, 10% chance of freeze in December, 5% chance of snow in January and 5% chance of snow in Fe...

[quote="Pocus"]Dear players, Weather patterns improved, courtesy of Mike1962. See the modding forum for explainations about these modifications gone official. This is from the 1.07 readme. Playing 1.07 rc4 in early December, 1861 I am noticing some of the same old odd weather patterns appe...

I would like to double check the RR links in those regions to ensure that t...

Based on history, local militia could not be relied upon to be efficient and effective in following the grand picture of military warfare. In reality, if they were up against substantial odds, they would have disbanded well before fighting, and very few would waste time to destroy a depot. Reading ...

Whoops. I can't do screen shots but I had a detatchment set to move from Knoxville to Nashville. The route was across the mountains and was to take 41 days. I asked for rail movement and the time changed to 5 days but the route stayed the same and there were no tracks there. :tournepas

Thanks for the replys. I understand and didn't mean to be a pest. I recently reinstalled and and patched the game because I did something wrong while installing MODs ( the Experimental one I believe) and could not start the game. So, I started all over. The only MOD I now have installed is Jabberwac...

Patch today?

Seems I remember Pocus stating that there was a 90% chance of a patch by end of this week. If not, could Pocus at least tell if some of the MOD ideas (weather, leaders, etc) will be made official in this one. I have been waiting to play when that happens.

Is it close to being over?

With the noticable slowdown in activity around improving AACW (with the exception of the MODERS) and the devs appearant and expected concentration on their new and exciting Napolianic Wars game, I can't help but wonder if some of the improvements we all want to see in AACW will happen anytime soon. ...

So, does this mean that I need to reinstall the Leader Op. Mod over the 1.06c version and it will work with my current game? Yes or no? Do I have to start the March 1861 campaign anew? Leader Mod compatibility w/ 1.06c

I have been using the leader mod with my current campaign. After installing 1.06c the saved game will not start. A new game will start with what looks like the original leader events, rating etc.. Do I need to re install the leader mod on top of 1.06c and when I do, will my old game then start? (sid...

Where is weather mod?

Where can I find the weather mod on this site?
Is there good instruction on how to install it (like the Leader Mod)?
Can it be installed on a current ongoing campaign or must you start a new campaign?

I wish we had a central location for all the Mods to make them easier to find.

Thanks.

Mod question for Pocus....

Since you were away there has been a great deal of activity around Mods. There is a leader Mod, i think there is a weather Mod somewhere, there are graphics mods, there are Mods changing strategic citys values, there is even a Mod that tries to combine many of these. I am sure I am leaving some out....

These are good questions GBS. What I am wanting to do with my mod is to make the game more model historical reality. One element of doing this is to increase the difficulty for the player (as Lincoln or Davis) in finding and placing the correct commanders in the field too easily or too early. Both ...

I admire the work you are doing on the various mods. It seems you are working on more than just the Leader Opt. Mod. Could you tell a little about what the others are? Also, as you update the Leader mod, will using the updates effect any ongoing game one is playing? For example, I started a new Apri...

One of the really fun things about this game is that you can do things that were not done in the real war and see how they work out. As in the case above, I moved Johnston to Nashville and gave him command of the Army of Tennessee with A.S. Johnson and Polk as Corp commanders. E. K. Smith had won a ...
