The first penciler was Louis Salverius, who died at book 10 or so if I remember correctly. Then Willy Lambil took over the pencils. As for the first épisodes, I'm not so sure they're pre-civil war. Actually, the context would seem to be late 1860's I'd say, just like the classic John Ford movies (or...

Well, I'd say McPherson's book is an History Book and certainly not and certainly not a Military History Book. Which doesn't mean that it's bad. Actually I found the book very interesting and I concur with Arsan on the fact that if you're not a specialist on this period you should start with this on...

Thanks. But the wikipedia article is a mere translation isn't it. I mean, the Tuniques Bleues were never released in the States?

Never seen the "Tuniques Bleues" in the Previews or any other comics retailer's order sheet. I don't think they've ever been translated for the US Market.

I have a feeling the larger brackets seem to relate to those folks who were young when boardgames really started to take off. I'm thinking of Avalon Hill and games like Squad Leader (or ASL). I still fondly remember Gettysburg '77 as one of my first games. Yeah, you're probably right here. I suppos...

Actually the period of the game might influence the age bracket of the players :

I think you will probably find proportionally more younger players in WWII war games than in American Ciwil War or AWI or whatever.

Well I actually find Glory rather excellent, if you put aside the overcharacterization of both Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. :siffle: The whole final scene just blew me up (from Broderick's death to the final "screenshot" when the party guided by Elwes find themselves in front of artillery)....
