Good AAR. Now all you have to do is make sure that the game is better than the previous PC WW1 game disasters including: Strategic Command WW1 Darkest Hour WW1 AGEOD's WW1 Gold Commander Great war Guns of August Victoria: WW1 scenarios Then there are the board games that were badly done: AH's Guns o...

I lost 3 direct relatives in WW1: Robert Cathcart, 11th Batt, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, who died on the first day of the Somme with the Ulster Division, he was under age (17) and panicked and was sent back down the line and was killed in a counter bombardment, his two brothers who went forwards ...

That's your best bet for sure.

Alternatively if the unit is fixed to a certain army then you'll either need to bring the HQ or unit closer to one another.

That way everybody else can use them if they want these items "fixed" too.

Yes, please share them once you are done.

Perhaps being able to lay more mines would improve the model from what it currently is? Although that would mean increasing the stock available to all countries. But there again, probably not because it would effect the north sea as much as the straits of dover which is ahistorical and lacks a meani...

My understanding is that the fleet needs to be in a sea (non coastal) region and set to raid for a raid to occur with a random port near the sea region being chosen.

You can move to the sea region and, if set to raid, the fleet will raid that turn.

MP remains unplayable. :(

I'm free for playtesting if you want someone to resolve bugs with.

Why was the decision made not to follow the board game on this occassion? I am guessing there was an issue with it? Is there anything to stop me moving the entire CP allied Japanese fleet and moving it to Kiel?

As there is nothing to strike at in the pacific of value it makes most sense to do this.

Although that doesnt make an awful lot of sense game wise :)

Grand Offensive Timing

I can see no benefit in pre-booking a Grand offensive. Accordingly I plan and launch them in the same turn. This doesnt seem historic or realistic, indeed it undermines what I believe is a well concieved and structured part of the game. But perhaps I am wrong? Is there any sort of benefit for pre-bo...

It would kinda wash away the (already very limited) importance of afghanistan I am afraid. It is best to cut these routes Philippe mentioned, to eliminate gamey behaviour in the region for sure. there is no realistic chance whatsoever for enemies of GB to conquer those in this conflict, so I consider those more like placeholder for British forces than actual areas. I see that you get 1 gold star point for taking Kazakhstan. Which makes sense to me, I quite like that, I think it works well. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this. British and as such Entente naval supremacy was a given in that world, so it is correct in the frame of the game that only the UK receives NW penalty for being raided. IMHO. Regarding mines, I will need to re-read the rules on them, but their ...

15 lost battleships equals a huge NW penalty, especially if they were designated as losers of the battle. So its not an AI thing, it works as designed.
