You have a depot at Fort Smith though, and you won't suffer weather hits there, plus you can garrison Van Dorn for awhile to regain org. Seems a much better way to get the division out of the predicament than to march them through the cold to where they are going now. Why isn't the Fort Smith depot ...

A. Humphrey's ratings.

Probably not the right place, but I'd like to chime in and suggest that Andrew Humphrey's stats be improved to 4-1-1, maybe even 4-2-1. In his book on Antietam Stephen W. Sears states that Humphreys moved his division 23 miles overnight to reach the Army of the Potomac the day after Antietam and hav...

Make sure to destroy the depot at Fort Smith too - take a look at my recently published AAR to see how effective destroying both of them is and how easy it makes advancing into Arkansas later on.

Early June 1862 Economy: Things are better again this turn - my supply situation is now nearly perfect. My national morale has been decreased because Ben Butler is angry that he hasn't been given the Army command that went to Thomas. Too bad Ben. http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n423/csl_qt3/092....

Late May 1862 Economy: I finally purchased enough trains and river transport to put my transport economy on full blast. My supply grid should remain good for awhile now. Unfortunately I'm just about out on manpower reserves, which is distressing. http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n423/csl_qt3/088....

Early April 1862 Economy: Another massive spending spree that doesn't dent my war supplies that much. Our rail and river supply systems need some improvement though - I want them at the 3/3 level so I'll need to take some time to build plenty of locomotives. http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n423/...

1861 Overview 1861 was a good year for the Union - if you discount the country going into a civil war. On the whole I think I did a good job of keeping Union morale up, losses down, and made some significant strategic and tactical advances along the entire front. In the east I managed to form some ...
