So how do I supply an army?? I have to keep moving it into city or town every so often and leaving my army there for a couple of turns to restock them?? :bonk: The time needed to restock an army is dependent on the size of the army(Total supplies needed) and the Supply capabilities of the town (Dep...

I agree.... the AI's winter behavior has improved tremendously....

Is it possible the British Commander wasn't activated for a couple of turns?? I've had my fair share of that... being caught in the wilderness in the winter due to a British General's low Strategic rating.....

Pbem?

Hey there! I am sure the answer lies in the 11 page thread... but after a couple of drinks I am too lazy to read all 11 pages

So, with the turn based approach, will PBEM be a possiblity?

Thanks!

Looking for PBEM

Looking for a PBEM for one of the big campaigns (FiW, Rev, or 1812) I'll play as any side, and have latest patch and player hotfixes loaded up.

PM me if interested!

If you're using Vista, the save files are located in a different directory..... some crazy long list like (User/local/.....) with several directories following (if i had time, I'd give you the exact location) eventually you'll find what looks like a mirror of your program files directory, and the sa...

Very good ideas!!

Is there a way to implement a "state" trait to American soldiers, similar to the "Canadian" trait that some of the British irregulars have? That way if the militia attempted to leave the state they would be so heavily penalized that it wouldn't be worth it.

I've only gotten to play the 1812 scenario once as the US side in a PBEM game. I was playing CristoFire, and by the time we were almost done, New York City, Fort Niagara and possibly Washington (we stopped when the 1.03 patch was released) were in British hands. Pretty embarrasing. Now, it could hav...

No replays being generated for other player PBEM

Hey there!

I'm currently hosting a FiW game vs CristoFire that we started fresh under the 1.04 beta patch. The last 2 turns I've hosted generated replay files for me (the Brits), but none for my opponent (France). Attached are all the files generated on the last turn. Any thoughts?

Yes this is with 1.04 beta. Regards! Hmm, yes that would explain this behaviour and similar ones. But how could we prevent the AI from doing that too often ? I'm not sure, seeing how it happens to me too!! I think I allow myself enough time for a campaign before winter, and a couple of months of no...

I addition, it may not have been the AI's intention to be stuck in the wilderness in the middle of winter. The American generals are famous for low strategic ratings in this war, resulting in failures to activate at times. He may have had an activation failure on his multi-month march up north.... I...

OK, something that appears a little new along these lines is that ever since the 1.04 patch, forces bottled up under siege are getting affected by bad weather slightly, usually only a hit or 2. It would make sense, seeing how some forces would need to be stationed in the weather to watch for attack.
