It seems this game will only be worth playing for the short scenarios about certain key events of the era. In other words, like the other AGEOD games. There's nothing wrong with that in itself, but that's not what I was expecting. No game capable of representing the Franco-Prussian War in painstakin...

The Grand Grand Campaign is indeed 1680 turns long. Yes it is much, too much, but the choice was still to have 15-days turn. The good news is that you will have several Grand Campaigns, each starting and ending at different dates, so you won't have to play the GGC if you prefer only a GC :) Also co...

Lower as less? When you move toward industrial warfare, the tempo of war accelerate. With 3 months a turn, the French-Prussian War or Crimean War would have no interest for example. Unfortunately this means that a grand campaign lasting from 1850-1920 is 1,680 turns and therefore nigh unplayable. M...

Are you sure that's appropriate? Shouldn't military operations in VoN be of a lower level of detail than in BoA (which has monthly turns)?

Has it been decided yet the time a turn will represent? I recommend quarterly turns given the expected scale of the game.

Lastly, fort effectivness vs city effectivness. I can only advise you to do the following trick: - AWI campaign, disable AI - Leave a leader and 3 British regulars in Boston - Assault with the americans: proper leader and 8 militia. Count losses. Now build a fort before, and repeat. See how it fare...

they were not tightely locked in the city, so this is why the British starts in the region, but outside the city. This is also to simulate how easy it was for them to redeploy amphibiously within the region. Of course they could redeploy amphibiously, how could they not - Boston is a coastal city. ...

Also, I just realized that in the game the British start outside of Boston, not even under siege to begin with. That needs to be fixed as well.

Multiplayer, how viable is it really?

I'm wondering if anyone here has actually played through a PBEM game. Does it work well? Is it too inconvenient or not? Any AARs?

I was just wondering if its possible for a side with less men to ever pull of victories, I know other things would help attribute to that such as a fort of a better general maybe higher morale so yeah i was just wondering?? thanks I've also only played the demo, but it seems clear to me that at lea...

Oh, well I thought they were supposed to get militia instead.

I also noticed that in addition to supply, a unit named Robert Howe appears with one company of colonists at one strength point. What's the purpose of that?

Siege of Boston - British way overpowered?

Maybe my history is a little rusty, but aren't the British supposed to be on the defensive in 1775? More specifically, it was my understanding that even after Howe's reinforcements, the British did not have enough strength to break out of Boston. In this game however, it seems the Americans must for...

Massive number of supply reinforcements a bug?

It seems that around April 1776 the Americans recieve a large number of reinforcements all over the place, however it looks like they are all supply units? Surely this must be a bug. I'm wondering if this only happens in the demo or what? It's similar to the problem in the earliest version of the fi...

Artemus or Artemas?

In the demo Grand Campaign, the Americans have a leader showing the name Artemus Ward in the bottom army view, but in the tooltip it is spelled Artemas. Surely they can't both be right. Which is the correct spelling? Am I the only one to have noticed this?

Just tried the new demo.

Hi, I've just tried the new demo and it seems very impressive. The previous demo was too limited in scope to judge the overall game. I will probably buy this game eventually, as I've always wanted a good strategic level game about the American Revolution.
