I too have no issue moving through Maastricht. It seems that if you are moving the German 1st Army you can indeed select a destination within Belgium just past Maastricht and the army automarches through with no problem. Have not tried this with the latest patch however.

I often have to de-select and reselect until the darker (or the faster change) coloration comes up so I can see approximately how far a unit can move that turn. I do this quite often myself. Sometimes I can easily see how far a stack can travel the first time I click on the stack. Other times I do ...

I can't change the security level either but I wonder if that has something to do with the Gold version? The other thing you (and I) could try is running the Configurator as an administrator.

for your performance issues try setting load all map at start in the configurator and run the game in single core mode. That should fix the map scrolling issue. I never switch away from the terrain map mode myself. I haven't figured out the purpose of the other map modes either. What I do see is the...

Is there an easy way to cycle through independent stacks? I'm talking about the detachments not assigned to any army, named or un-named. I know that the "Home/Ins" key works for armies that are named but this hotkey does not work for the independent detachments. Makes for a tedious time when searchi...

The independent detachments can be moved after you have moved all of your named armies and only during the second military phase. IOW once you've moved your last named army the game automatically processes the turn. If the opposing side has any moves to make it does so. Then when it is your second m...

ironwarrior your rig sounds like it is powerful enough to run this game. I would follow calvinus' suggestions and see if that helps.

Another possible fix you can try is loading all map and sounds at start. You can find these options in the WW1G Configurator.
