Does it matter which you build among Iron Works, Arsenals, Powder Mills, etc.?

It will say CW2 1.05rc3 while loading when done correctly, right?

I have downloaded and installed the Beta Patch 1.05rc3 with all appearing good; yet when I run the game, it still says CW2 1.04 in the lower right hand corner when loading.

I assume I have done something wrong, correct? It should say 1.05rc3, correct?

Why do my CSA forces keep retreating in a northern direction when they lose a battle in the valley of northwest Virginia?
They seem to be retreating in the most dangerous direction and putting themselves between enemy forces with no safe way to return to safety!!!
