With experience playing CV2 and reading strategy material from that game; I have made a few assumptions about the British Naval Strategy and Game Mechanic during my first game of WON and I would appreciate advice from the community on the following questions: Commerce Box & Trade Boxes I have ma...

AGEOD's best game for PBEM?

I have enjoyed playing AGEOD 's CW2 both vs. AI and vs. PBEM opponents and now ready to buy a 2nd title from AGEOD; so I am asking the community:

For playing 1vs1 via PBEM; which AGEOD title do you suggest as my 2nd one?

Thank you!

Is there a database available that would include the entry date and stats for each general in the game?
Thank you!

Looking for PBEM Game

Hello community!

I am a learning player that played a few CW2 PBEM games a few years ago and interested in playing another game.
Glad to play either side and will typically play as fast as you can, preferring at least one turn a day.

PM me if interested.

Thank you!

In my last game as CSA verse Athena USA; Athena landed Gen Banks with a small division in Matagorda very early in the game.

I have read in the forums that lowering the AI Activation Bonus option (to Easy) and AI Detect Bonus option (to None) will reduce/stop the suicide runs she does to capture VP cities in your rear. With these; I believe using the Colonel Ranking, Use all behaviors On, Normal Aggressiveness and Give AI...

Does it matter which you build among Iron Works, Arsenals, Powder Mills, etc.?
Don't they all just provide you generic War Supplies?

It will say CW2 1.05rc3 while loading when done correctly, right?
Even though it is a beta patch?

Patching to 1.05rc3

I have downloaded and installed the Beta Patch 1.05rc3 with all appearing good; yet when I run the game, it still says CW2 1.04 in the lower right hand corner when loading.

I assume I have done something wrong, correct? It should say 1.05rc3, correct?

Thank you!

AI CSA - Aggressiveness Game Option?

After playing as the USA against the AI CSA a number of times on the normal aggressiveness option setting with each difficulty option setting; I have found that the AI CSA makes it easy for me as the USA to kill their troops at a 3/2 ratio overall in my favor and win the war via attrition as the CSA...

Randomized Generals

Playing with Randomized Generals seems like a great way to enjoy the game with new strategies after playing the game for awhile; yet I have concerns and have a few questions: 1) Is the Randomization truly random, or will the game ensure that neither side gains an advantage by the luck of the ...

AI CSA weak in the East?

Hello! I have won 3 games now as USA verse the AI CSA; with each victory I raised the difficulty options expecting a greater challenge without success. As the difficulties increased, I did notice the AI CSA played stronger and pushed harder up the Mississippi River towards St. Louis and pushed harde...

Hello! Corp Design vs Division Design?

I understand the value of a properly designed Division and spend time micro-managing the process to ensure my key 18 element Divisions achieve something like the following: 1 - General 2 - 6lb Arty 2 - 12lb Arty 2 - Cav 1 - Sharpshooter 1 - Elite 9 - Infantry My question to you is not to ask what ar...

Retreat Direction

Hello!

Why do my CSA forces keep retreating in a northern direction when they lose a battle in the valley of northwest Virginia?
They seem to be retreating in the most dangerous direction and putting themselves between enemy forces with no safe way to return to safety!!!

What am I doing wrong?

Far West - Just Ignore?

Hello! While I love the game so far; I find the Far West a destraction to what I greatly enjoy when playing a Civil War grand strategy game. Therefore; I am asking: When playing as either the USA or CSA verse the AI; if I just hunker down all of my elements in the Far West and then completely ignore...
