Thanks.

I didn't know we had an ignore button. I've added two people and its made a big change to the threads in one forum, although it would be even better if it hid thier threads as well.

PON runs fine for me on a netbook.

Just thought I'd report that PON runs fine on my netbook. It has a small CPU, which I was worried might not be up to the task, but I get through turns OK. It's not what I would call quick, but not unplayable by any means. I've got a Samsung NC20 which has a 12-inch screen. I bought this type of netb...

Just a couple of points: Charles S Roberts didn't turn over Avalon Hill to his creditors because he was becoming rich making wargames in his garage. Creating wargames is a passion and if you can get paid to do it, good on ya. Wargamers, particulalry the grognard class, are a specific subclass of hum...

Can we have a better "placeholder" leader face, or at least one with eyes, nose and mouth? The featureless one in the game now makes it look unfinished.

Thanks again Clovis,

I'll have a look at the new stuff. Cheers,

PS have you ever considered using JSGME, the generic mod enabler? I use it for mod switching for flight and sub sims. Can it even be used for AACW mods?

Problem with river transport units-no transport weight?

Hi Clovis, There may be a problem with installing over the mod. I note that the river transport units don't have any trasnport weight or capacity. I can't load small units onto one. I can't recall if this was a problem before I put on the latest version of the files, as I'd not tried to transport un...

Frigates in Richmond cant enter shallow water in july?

G'day Clovis,

I've fired up a gam of SVF, and I cant move the CSA frigates from Richmond. They say they can't enter the shallow water at the river. They are listed as oceanic vessels. Not a big deal, but kinda strange.

Great mod.

I really like the new hints and supply rules explanations in the text box at the bottom. Is there any way to mod this to include more and varied hints and rule explanations?

I wouldn't mind seeing most of the wiki in notes form in this area.

Great work on the patch.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm a bit curious about possible new features as well. I've appreciated the measured increase in features in the AGEOD games.

I'm guessing that AGEOD don't want to let any cats out of the bag, and spoli all the fun on release?

Three Kingdoms for three players?

I wonder if it is possible to adapt Athena and the AGEOD system to a three-player game? I reckon the Three Kingdoms would be great fun.

Is a three-player game easie to build than a 3+n-player game?

Just curios.

Private message from a very new user? SPAM?

G'day I've just gotten a PM from a very new user, who has very recently joined and never posted. Hi PM is very generic, not related to gaming at all, and contains an odd pseudo-religious quote. There is also a link in his post, and I'm thinking this looks very much like a form of spam. Just an FYI f...

Moving the game directory to a new computer?

G'day all. I've lost my install file for AACW. I'm currently playing off a copy of the directory from my old hard drive. I'm wondering if there will be any problems trying to play off this directory on a new laptop? The download FAQ says to just "spread" the game by copying the game directory. I've ...

The missus will be next to me so no worries there. I think I will use a 133Wh external battery and a regular 15.4" laptop. I'm not going to mess about with any netbooks. So no worries with screens sizes or time. Unless of course they don't let me bring the battery on board, better check that.

It seems that 1024*768 are possible in the Eee PCs. some say the option is available scaled right out of the box, and other have used drivers to force the use of this resolution.

I hope this will be OK.
