I'll tell you why I have not posted lately. It's a long game and I've been playing it (and I went to hawaii for 2 weeks). Also there is a paradox forum.
I also play a few Paradox games along with my Ageod games and I'll probably buy Vickie2 and Vainglory and Rise of Prussia. Hey, I'm retired and have enough time.
I really prefer turn-based games because I'm always getting interrupted.
In lieu of a new AGEOD game, I've been playing HOI3. Talk about bugs! Playing as Americe, Germany declared war then invaded/tried to invade my coast. At the same time, I'm was trying to find a decent route to Ireland because my ships could not make it without stops. Skip for a year or more. I'd rath...
When you get a beta release ready, I'd be glad to test it on Vista for you. Us retirees have time available. (not as much as you would think but my lady friend is in the hospital right now).
I am refering to the game I'm playing - the campaign from the start. It gives a fatal error message and goes to desktop. I started a new game when I installed the patch. I could send saved game or whatever if you wish. Note that if i start it over again, it works the 2nd time. But the second time it...
If I save a game, quit and restart the program; the resume does not work and the first time I try to reload the game it aborts. The 2nd time has worked every time. This is under vista pro.
Just started playing new release and my troops moving from ft sumpter to Virginia are being fired upon by the forts around them. Did not happen in older release.
I have the same problems (with the 1.11 version only) and just retry and It has worked the 2nd time. Don't think it's a Vista problem. Also the resume button no longer works in the latest release. worked before.
As another CSA player, in 61 I take Paduka, F. Sumter, Norfork (VA) in the first few moves. Later I take Bowling Green and Grafton and Elizabeth WV. The troops in Grafton give way when you come close to their size in troops and Elizabeth is often left open to calvary attack (often the towns around i...
I've got one of those quad processors and 3 GB running Vista Pro and it's running ACW great. Do not run 2 games at the same time but keep my e-mail open while I play. Vista lets me play MOO2 which my XP box does not. 22" screen is a lot better than my old 19" on these old eyes.
Have you heard that Civ IV is coming out with a remake of Colonization? heck i was just playing that yesterday.
I play the railroad games, Rome, Medieval II and variations and some sims (Tropicos - Love the pirate one - ARGGG!), Pirates, Port Royale II, BOA. Of Course ACW.
In the constitutional convention slavery was hotly debated and leaving it in was one of the areas of compromise. It can be argued that the republicans wanted to renage on this compromise. Should the South have been held to an agreement that some parties in the North did not wish to honor? Certainly ...
