Re: Help us test the ECW 1.02 update!

If the problem is within the executable, this was not updated in the patch, so not solved.

Re: Help us test the ECW 1.02 update!

In this line you have 10 or 100?

Code: Select all

// how many log lines should be written at once. Can slow down significatively the app & hosting if below 10.
LogBatch         = 10

Re: Help us test the ECW 1.02 update!

There is no "general.opt" file in the patch, where the log line in question that PhilThib commented is located.

I do not know whether a patch can edit a file or not.

I suppose you have to edit it manually.

No idea what Ageod is planning to do with the new engine.

Revamping the old games?

Completely new topics and eras? Ageod Pacific War :pouet: Ageod Orcs vs Elves?

If it is the first no doubt ACW3 will be the chosen one, AACW and CW2 being their great commercial successes.

Re: Slow scrolling of map

You may try editing the file General.opt manually with a text editor like wordpad. // How much of the physical memory % we allow to be used before cache is checked for old textures MemUsage = 75 Save and close the file, open it again to check that the change is conserved. It is in the folder \Civil ...

Re: More beginner questions on forming Corps and Divisions

So, armed with this information, I restarted the 1862:West scenario. The starting date is Early Feb, 1862. I see that in Montgomery, TN there is the Army of the Ohio and two corps (left Wing and Right wing). The corps both show the diamond in the group tab and the popup calls them corps. Question 1...

Not in spanish.

In spanish a criollo is an european descendant born in America, so 100 % white.

While a castizo is 75% white and 25% native american.

Assuming you are white, if your wife is mestiza, then your children are called "castizos".

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

By the way, what cities can be a capital? The option to change the Capital can be taken only one time. New York (from Washington) for the Union and Atlanta (from Richmond) for the CSA. Also Montgomery for the CSA that will be changed by event to Richmond at the start of the war as historically.

Just kidding, of course, though it is true in my case.

Confederate in the ACW.

White in RUS.

French in the Napoleonic wars.

Peloponnesian if Ageod ever creates the game :niark:

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

It really depends on what you mean by "triumph". If Sherman had not taken Atlanta in late '64, McClellan might well have won the election. If he held to his word, he would have ended hostilities, and negotiated "a peace", which would have meant, secession for the southern states...

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

If you must know, and you likely do not, it amazes me that gamers wish to further hobble the Union in this game. In pbem the CSA wins plenty of times for lots of reasons. The Union is tough to play. The CSA has so many advantages as the game opens. I can see some players wish for a guaranteed win f...

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Of course it is not my preference, I would like that somebody mod the game so that the Confederacy has an opportunity to triumph in a PBEM game.

Perhaps a campaign that is specifically designed to be played vs a human opponent.

Anyone?

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Some authors consider General Lee as a direct cause of why the South lost, so perhaps the better way to balance the game is to put General Lee in blue. Already did a modded version of his portrait for AACW, could be done for CWII too :niark: http://www.ageod-forum.com/download/file.php?id=15630&...
