Did you consider using a year by year historical vp score of the North and comparing that to the ingame vp score? I started to do it sometimes ago but too much work (and a little bit of laziness) stopped it in its early start. I attach the file I built if somebody want to continue... [ATTACH]38574[...

Orso, your point is well taken. Khbynum (would LOVE to know what your user name means), yes, most people play vs. AI but is that because PBEM is so difficult for the CSA. I've already start doing something with this. The first thing I do is break up all the .sct files into individual events so I ca...

Yes, it's something that always strikes me : even if you want to stay historical you can expect more elite troops on the CSA side.

The problem is that in CW2 the NM is too easily recovered due to the "reslience" rule that will increase NM when under 100. It was already the case in AACW but in CW2 it is more/too much powerful.

A historical game? Yes. Playable? No, unless you like to lose as the south or at best case, fight for a draw or "morale" victory. Well, I always get the feeling people on this forum are not the kind of persons you meet everyday and they are looking for something else/more than victory ;) :siffle: :...

A mod, even if not historical, might be interesting indeed as a "what if".

The Union and Rebels are about identical
NM will improve/diminish performance of your soldiers. CSA is starting with a better moral and will keep it higher for some times due to several events (Manassas, push for offensive).

For me winning with the CSA doesn't mean to beat the Union but to do better than historically. You can achieve it without taking Washington. But unfortunately I think the VP system in the game is not well designed (to say the least) as it doesn't allow to compare players performance against history....

When you get a supply treaty, you don't get to actually move your supply through their territory, instead they will provide their (sometime meager) supply to you. If you are allied otoh, it's possible to move your own supply into their territory, but you must have nearby units or a depot in a non-c...

The attachments aren't working, so I'm guessing that the plan is for Longstreet and Jackson to do a synchronized march on Baker with Lee perhaps MTSG. You are attacking a force of the same strength entrenched in marsh terrain : I'm afraid you will need to gather more troops or accept the loss of NO.

Well, assuming the Union player is reading your mind, yeah, it might happen. Then again, Thomas is also not sitting on Montgomery anymore. Seems like I've moved the "Rock" Yes, might be a nice trick: move Lee next to Atlanta using railroad. Next turn Thomas is moved to the city (if the Union has no...

There are three things to consider with Atlanta: - Union controls the railroads: if you can't cut them he can easily outmanoeuvre you. Well I hope so! That's the whole point. I'd want Thomas to come charging in to attack, because it's his weakness. If Thomas, Lyon or any other Union force can move ...

Another point to add to what has already been written: Johnston and Lee are both army leader so no MTSG is possible between them. On the other side, I suppose Thomas and Lyon can MTSG to support each other.

You should count a full division (with 17 elements and a leader) for 550/600 pwr or even more with a very good leader. So it's around 40-45 divisions. Still a huge force !
