Good Ole Ethan Allen

In the 1775 Campaign prior to 1.08 Ethan Allen showed up with the force to take Ticonderoga, as he did historically. Now he shows up much later. Why the change?

Too many drinks with the Green Mountain Boys?

Error Message during Battles

On a few rare occassions I get an error message during the execution phase. A blank Battle Report Pops Up and then a message in French. I think the message is asking to continue or cancel. But I can only cancel. It has only happened twice, and both times it involved very large battles. I'm running 1...

Granted, but i think it should be up to the player to decide if he wants to assign a leader to months of dragging them through the mud. If theres a will theres a way. But an Army that is Campaigning, on the move, looking to battle the enemy, is not going to be able to stop and assemble their Naval ...

I really don't see the problem. Knox is in the game and even if he weren't you can still capture artillery from regular battles or assaults on forts then move it freely. :bonk: There is a difference between Field Artillery and Naval/Coastal Artillery. Yes, Knox is in the game, and historically he d...

I can see it now. George Rogers Clark and his rangers moving through the wilderness with Big heavy Naval Guns.

Or better yet, an Army made up of just heavy artillery. :bonk:

If we suddenly have all these armies running around with big heavy guns, that should be emplaced ,it is going to be riddiculous and lose the Historical Feel.

I believe Knox had to dismantle those heavy guns at Ticonderoga from their carriages and haul them to Boston. It was a major effort to haul the big guns through the wilderness. And then they had to be reassembled once they reached Boston. An Army on campaign might find that hard to do. That's why a ...

I agree with you . I have also suggested that idea but everybody don't share the same point of view ( PhilThib ? Pocus ? ). As for an example it's more pretty to see the sprite of Leader xxx on top of the stack rather than the sprite of the most important unit ( in quantity or quality ). I like the...

Names for Regions

I must say that the map is very beautiful and has a very historic feel to it.

I was wondering about the names for the regions. How did the developers come up with the names for the regions? County names? Geographic Features?

Mostly because he arrives as overall commander of British forces (*** in our game), which occured after his capture of Louisbourg. We may change that and have him join the Louisbourg expedition at the same time as Wolfe (I had read Wolfe was in command there, may be a mistake) Amherst was in comman...

General Amherst does not arrive until December 1758? Why so late? He had captured Louisbourg months before that.

Replacements

I'm a little confused on how a Regiment Receives Replacements.

I know it depends on what is in the Replacement Pool. But does a Regular, Provincial, or Militia unit have to be inside a Level 2 City? In a region that has a Level 2 City? In any supplied structure? :bonk:

Your Favorite FIW or AWI Movie???

What movies of this time period do you like? Here are my top three: 1. The Crossing (Excellent account of the Delaware Crossing by Washington) 2. Last of the Mohicans - 1992 (A lame romance, but gotta love that Fort William Henry Massacre Scene) 3. Patriot - (Lots of things wrong with it, but good B...
