I have the CD, how do I recover my codes?

I bought this game about a year ago. Installed and played. We moved and I had to have my computer reformatted. Now I go to reinstall the game and I cannot find the box it came with and thus am missing my code to install the game. How do I fix it or request new codes?

I have set up my own excel spreadsheet as well. I use it to keep track of what elements are in which division. Then when I do my 'purchases' I allot them to the divisions that need them. Thus, when the units appear on the map, I now know where I intended to send them when I purchased them a couple t...

PBEM orders not executed

My opponent and I are having a problem with his orders being executed on turn 1. I double and triple checked that the activate AI button was not checked. We reloaded and started the game over three times now. I also tried going back a turn and reloading his orders. NONE of these things have executed...

Still looking for more AACW opponents!

Sir, you are NOT ALONE to have trouble creating divisions. Read below my copy of my post elsewhere for details that should be in the manual but aren't! I am a literal person by nature and literalness would help greatly! Early on, I could not figure out how to create divisions. Of course I went to th...

If you start moving several of them by train when they first appear, they will reach St. Louis, Kentucky et all where you need them by the time the troops start to appear there. You can redeploy one per turn as well and that usually solves the problem for me.

I find this thread fascinating because it finally answers many of the questions that I have about the blockade, river blocking of raiding, etc game. The end result of this looks like I have to build even MORE gunboats to keep the pesky rebs from raiding me relentlessly! Jabberwocky, any chance that ...

Grudgebringer, I am very disappointed that you don't remember me from CWG2. I remember you well and we played a few times. I was a latecomer to the game, but played it for at least a year befoe it migrated to kali and at least a year afterward. I also attended one of the CWG2 'meetups' in Gettysburg...

Password Problem

I developed a bug in my software and and then uninstalled the game. Before uninstalling the game I saved my ongoing PBEM game in another folder. After reinstalling the game, I put the saved game back in the proper folder in AACW. The folder is in place and I can see it in the load game list. However...

Is it possible to have multiple installs of AACW?

I am curious if I can make an installation of one version without mods and just having the updated patch. I would then like to have another version with the patch and selected mods so I could then PBEM people with this mod. Possibly a third install for other mods as well? If anyone has done this, wo...

Can an oldtimer kindly let me know what mod is most pop...
