Historical Attirition seems a little harsh.......

Hiya guys, When selecting historical attirition for both sides, I can lose 50-75% of my guys (elements going half / three quarters red) when moving through rain (not the harshest weather) in July-August. Is this correct? I am also not receving any notification of 'This and this guy's stack took X hi...

Graphics colours going into reverse (ish)

Not the most technical description, but I am noticing 2 things: 1) Entire screen goes white during play. I am assuming this is not my inevitable White victory, clicking like mad, nothing works. 2) Colours change completely, almost like a photo negative, but then with colours. Anybody else noticing t...

All right, but what are the chances of them 'making contact' ? It seems in the beginning my ships sink loads of Yankee shipping, but later on I do not see the message that I sank anything :(

Your CSA Commerce Raiders have sunk X and Y

Is there any logic in how to sink the maximum amount of Yankee shipping in the Shipping Box? I usually send 3 stacks of about 8 ships into there and it seems that in 1861-1863 they sink a lot of shipping, but after that, no matter how long I keep them in there, they don't. What are the mechanics beh...

Got my ass kicked by the AI yesterday, it took Richmond by 1862....... (kudos to the AI programmer btw)

AI seems *very* focused on Virginia, no real movement in MO, TN, KY or anywhere else......

Opening moves as the CSA

Good men of the South, can you share with me your opening moves (everything in 1861) as the CSA (using last patch). I have been trying a few different things with mixed results. Also, how do you keep the Yankees out of central Virginia? They seem to run past my guys, not in the slightest interested ...

Indeed, I squarely blame Yankee infiltrators and defeatists for this disaster.

The strange thing is that my computer self-destructed (at least parts of it) and I am still playing AACW (getting a lot of good ideas while commuting and thinking of my next move....).

Ehm... AACW lost (again) due to OS crash

Guys, I was pushing the Yankee invader back into Maryland when *poof* my computer died, again. I know Philippe Malacher from AGEOD was so kind as to provide me with a new way to download it via email. Could I ask you to do this again? I have the original purchase email and everything. Many thanks! I...

Quick answer to the poster above me. In my games as the CSA, Athena regularly goes for an instant assault on my Forts which are just held by 1 regiment. I myself prefer to just endlessly besiege Pickens (and other out of the way places) with some siege guns and maybe 5k guys. I am inflicting hits, c...

So far: -Can't 'trap' enemy units anymore with ZOC, this leads to strange slugfests (units being chased from here to there), also, when units end a turn in the same zone/province and my guys are still at full org and on 'attack' they ususally do not engage. -I cannot order a stack to attack to engag...

Both are cool, although I can nitpick about FoF. The little texts and photos are great, the Gameplay is a little lacking. In all my games as the South, 90% of my Battles are in either Memphis or Fredericksburg and the game becomes a race to build two ungodly and gamey superstacks that you can use to...

Or use the hardened activation option that locks stacks in place (so you can get any unit out of it) when inactive. The locking don't happen 100% of the times, the chance is related to the military control you have on the region so usually you can move on areas under your control (your "...

Close the trap!

Gentlemen, I have found that the way to win as the CSA is to wait until the Yankee invader comes deep into southern territory and then to gang up on individual units, annihaliting them and building up NM. What I can't figure out is when a unit has 'no retreats'. The orange symbol with a yellow backg...

The 'lights' under a unit do indicate combat readiness, as far as I've figured out, I usually try to 'dance' around enemy untis for them to go out of supply..... then go in for the kill.

'A second French Corps lands in Mexico' four times in a row and a nasty CTD

Hiya guys, As the title says, the 'A second French Corps lands in Mexico' keeps firing. When resolving turns, I get a CTD (please send your save file bla bla) at about 14/15 or 15/15, so this might be related. After I restart the game, I can reload the save file and begin at a new turn (the old one ...
