Re: Carrier Battles

Well, I think this is harmless, as it fits general discussions, this is a strategy game after all!

I backed it on Kickstarter :)

Never played the original, can someone speak a bit about it?

Re: About New AGEOD Engine

Well given that among our few alpha testers we have Altaris (maker of To End all Wars) and Loki101 (who did some awesome AAR on PON) and that they enjoy the game, it should be ok, even for grognards. :sourcil:

True, Captain, you are there several time a week, I saw that! Actually Athena was a name I gave, in 2004. And hopefully the Good Queen will return, if only for an Hello, one day? PhilThib has sailed to new ventures, and has been seen (not by me...) to a boardgames convention in Paris some weeks ago....

Re: About New AGEOD Engine

Sorry, the forum was down when I wanted to update you on that. The announcement is delayed a bit, for various reasons I can't discuss, but it does not in anyway postpone the game schedule and release date. I can't tell you more about the topic, sorry. To atone for my mistake of having you waiting fo...

Re: Haven't seen a traitor since beta testing ;)

Always good to see a vet post again!

Hopefully many of you will like the new game in the making. I'll be honest, it is slightly less grognard than the previous AGEOD games, but god, you get a lot of cool stuff from it. For starter, an AI that runs 10x faster than before :)

PON is clearly the most 'development oriented' game that we ever did.

2nd to this one, at Ageod, will be our brand new game in making ;)

Answering here as this thread is more focused on gameplay: yes, the next game/engine is still simultaneous turn based. This is still AGEOD, you know

PhilThib had switched to others activities. I know he is not ready to announce anything yet, and anyway that's up to him. He can still pass here to chat with you, but I know he was busy this summer.

Re: Let's bet on the next ageod game

There won't be more games with the previous engine, unless people who already did some 'Third Party' games like Leibstandarte (Miguel) or Altaris (Ben) want to make more.

I did not handle WSS, I hope the persons in charge will produce a patch in the not too distant future.

Re: Let's bet on the next ageod game

For our first game (with the new engine) it can't be too confidential. On the other hand, we don't want to overreach and do something involving things like strategic bombing ;)

It's somehow like the Apple shop (although I don't own an Apple product), the first 20 or so products do great, the others struggle to recoup expenses.

Hey,

Forum is not dead, but a combination of vacation period and lull before the new engine/game makes it dormant.

We are almost ready to make an announcement about the new game!

If you use arts and graphics from Ageod games but without making money from it, and if somewhere you put credits then that's fine.

Re: Interested in a Civil War II Gold version?

The motivated people can band together and propose a 'community edition patch', because I believe you can do all what you mention by tweaking data. As for fixing bugs in the code, unless a third party game is initiated with the old engine, I don't see that happen... I'm now fully committed since alm...

From the Illwinter website, you can buy their latest games from GG, so you get an actual installer if this is what you are into.
