Mr. Bill- as Japan mine seem to be working okay. Mostly naval and transport vessels. And definitely Land units of all types are being replenished and stocks going down. Maybe it is a problem with the 1880 scenario then? I haven't been playing the 1850 scenario, as the time period around 1880 seems ...

Not sure if this is where we are compiling issues for the patch, but one issue I'd like to raise is replacements do not seem to be working correctly. More specifically, replacements do replenish your troops, but they never seem to decrease in number once you purchase them.

While I was playing as Japan in the 1880 GC with the latest beta, I was involved with a long war with China in which I lost a lot of troops. My infantry replacements never seemed to go down at all, even though my forces were being replenished in their strength. I'm not sure if its working as intende...

It won't cause instability. The more aggressive AI is in fact the consequence of fixing bugs in diplomatic AIs. I'm pretty sure we won't have time to add specific PON parameters to it though. Ah, good to know it won't cause the game to crash, then. :D Regarding the wars, is it normal that nations l...

I've noticed the AI has been a bit more trigger happy - UK declared war on Hungary first turn in my France test game I started the other day. I've noticed overly aggressive AI diplomacy as well. I've been playing 1880 GC as Japan, and have started several games. Within the first year, I always seem...

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but in case anyone is still having this issue, I think I have it fixed. The key seems to be the mysterious ";10" entry in the line "SetCapital = $Lazzio;10" in the event posted below. I found this out by needing to do something similar to move Japan's capital t...

Logically the animations have an impact in Perhaps an option to turn on/off animations would be good? I know I could live with static harbors, flags, etc., for the sake of increased performance. One thing that annoys me is the flicker on the lamp lighting the Pride of Nations logo in the upper left...

Hello thanks i just want to make sure. No problem. If anybody is having trouble finding the patch at Paradox's forums, it's under Current Games>Pride of Nations>Pride of Nations - Tech Support. Currently, it's in the stickied thread at the top entitled "PON Public Beta Patch 1.02 (updated June 16)"

Does the game even take none integers? Could the chance be .25% for example? If I've done my math correctly, passing two 5% checks (ie, roll a 1 on a 20 sided die(as in dice) two times consecutively) would be the same as one .25% check. To save on calculations, maybe the second 5% check could only ...

If I've done my math correctly, making two 5% checks (ie, roll a 1-5 on a 100 sided die(as in dice) two times consecutively) would be the same as one .025% check.

A nation I would like to play in the Victorian era as is Portugal, trying to reclaim her former imperial glory! :dada: (yeah I know it'd be a long shot, but it might be fun to try it :D ). If it's not one of the vanilla choices, that's OK. Hopefully it won't be too hard to mod it in as playable. Jap...

Stick to a simple diplomatic model, a more basic model will give better results most of them. As much as I love paradox's work, Paradox's diplomatic model doesn't really work and is overly complex. I don't know if I agree with you that Paradox's diplomatic model was overly complex, but I do agree i...

A good response! However, the deepest longing in our hearts cannot be found in any game or any battle or any other thing we can purchase or possess, but only discovering who one truly is - an unassailable part of the Whole (i.e., the Atman or Soul).. well, unless I achieve nirvana in the meantime, ...

Well, the issue I was having with changing LocalStrings was caused by using Excel 07. Some reason, Excel alters the format in such a way as to make that file borked for use in ACW. Vista seems to retain a hidden file of the correct name, size and format (I'm guessing anyway :confused :) that is unal...
