Thanks Micheal! It will be great to find out. The only issue I can forsee is if the two versions arent quite patched the same, but I dont see it making it unplayable, just maybe some odd results. Anyway, i have my fingers crossed... :)

No matter how many times i re-entered it, it still wouldnt work. Vista, Windows ...

I had this problem with an AEGOD game - I cant remember whether it was ACW or WIA though, its been a while since I installed them. Basically it was the Vista security that was causing problems. After disabling the User Account Control or whatever its called the game and patch installed fine and acce...

Fleets do also have a % chance to avoid detection from the fort when running past, increased I believe if the admiral in charge of the fleet has a trait that helps. I think Farragut has "Fort Runner" or something as his trait. You will occasionally see in the reports " x Fleet has bypassed the defen...

I think forts work well as they are. Yes they can be used to slow up a Northern invasion and block waterways (as they were originally intended to) but can also prove to be massive drain. A large garrison in a fort is worthless if the enemy bypasses that fort, and then all those men and guns will be ...

I had something similar in my last couple of pbem games as the Union. Places on the Atlantic coast didnt seem to suffer the same. Alas i dont have the...

I have played the demo, and although it was similar enough to the previous game to jump straight in, I really like some of the changes. For example, being able to "sidestep" line formations makes setting up positions so much easier. As for replay value, I can only offer my own opinion and that is mu...

Units set on bombard

If its a force I intend to leave there I wait until it has reached the required entrenchment level then like to put it on sentry mode...

Early July '62 Political wrangling continues! First, Trouvere calls a Union Blockade which goes slightly in my favour. Then I declare a Cotton Embargo which goes heavily against me. I think the net loss to FI was about -20. Slaughter in the West Grant is finally forced into a corner. In Missouri Va...
