Re: PON official quickfix 1.04.3

In a nutshell: Ageod has been independent, then a subsidiary of Paradox. When we regained independence, PON was still a property of Paradox. Then we joined with Matrix-Slitherine and told them we would very much like to get all the sheep in the sheepfold, so Slitherine bought PON from Paradox. I be...

I missed the Merry Christmas wishes, but I wish you all awesome vacations, if you have any that is :sourcil: May you enjoy quality time with family, friends and various pets animals of your liking. Re: A mix of AGEOD and Pikes and shot style battles : let's redo Napoleon 1813 !

You do know this game has such. You simply need to select Battle Planner in the Options menu. Actually, Pike and shot has a very detailed tactical battle system, where dozens of units are usually involved in the campaign battles, on a generated map. The Battle Planner just allows you to make two de...

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all!

Here is hoping that all of us, including the Phils, have a very happy holiday season, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Hanukah, whichever is celebrated.

This is the best forum I have ever belonged to, and the best game company in the world!

Happiness and Appreciation to all,

Re: Pride of Nations 2?

An industrial era game? Sure, this is not impossible, but there is a long road to cover before that. We probably overstretched our human resources and engine with PON. The best game you have ever made, with all its problems. The best game anyone has ever made. If you get into it, it recreates the f...

Re: New to AGEOD titles, sales on Steam, which should I get?

I would suggest Wars In America. It is a great collection of scenarios, both large and small. It has been patched and enhanced to the point that it is just about free of bugs. It is, I think the best game for learning the basic system, which is used in all the games. The Ageod system is unique, and ...

A DLC on the fall of Poland?

The Polish Lithuanian commonwealth was once one of the largest and most powerful nations in Europe, with a unique military system, and many enemies. In 1648, a massive Cossack revolt almost brought the Commonwealth down. This revolt was in itself a fascinating conflict, with many Cossack units deser...

Re: Love this Game!!

I have finally started playing this game more, and I am glad I did. It really does recreate the feel of the era, where supply was a true challenge, as was the terrain and the weather. I do not think any game has done such a fine job of recreating the feel of the era. Everything fits, and the player ...

That's strange because WON diplomatic code has been used now in PON and comparisons are made. You can always think of the Boers fighting GBR... Sometime a war happens between a midget and a giant... Good point. the Boers declared war o Great Britain twice, and they won the first war. There was no w...

You won't get the butter and the cream :pouet:[/quote]

Why not? I use both in a number of dishes, that are absolutely wonderful. Ah, but that is cooking, not creating divisions.

And if you make butter out of cream, you have less cream.

Anyway, the WAD makes sense.

I always play with the battle planner. it does add some flavor, and immersion, and I do feel I am able to influence the battle by making good choices. It is not clear from the rules what is the best choice in a particular situation, so I let experience be my guide, also my gut feeling. That is somew...

Re: decreasing war score

When a nation is at war with an 'organized major' nation and is not an organized major, you now lose 1 WS per turn. You should be able to offset that with victories and occupying territories, but you just can't wait for the war to ends by itself now. I think this is very realistic, though hard on s...

You want to make this game simpler than the Wars of Napoleon game and you have chosen to use simple supply system. I don't think that the simple supply system is easier than the classic supply system with the depots' chain. Some Ageod games contain fixed supply sources (magazines). Could you also g...
