Why do diplomats fail anyway? What is the chance factor that diplomats can't deliver a DOW msg to the Cherokee? Seems a bit formal and irrelevant related to America and their history. Breaking treaties -- now that's American. :)

What's frustrating is that it appears I was doing everything correctly and didn't even know it or know why. I love the distinctiveness of these games and know it's a very small team, but this one just might not be worth the excessive investment of time to learn, understand or find the hidden details...

But I'm getting messages that they are disrupting the region and then seeing the burning flame icon of pillaging. Seems related to me.

By the way, I have cavalry or infantry units in each area being pillaged; I have established military outposts or forts in each. Only thing that seems to be working is that I'm gaining military control.

Military prosecute has worked and failed a few times in each.

No. Unable to DOW the Sioux or Cherokee. Tried four consecutive turns, and message always said my diplomats couldn't pull it off. I could not find Sioux listed anywhere in the treaty window: not a tribe, not minor, not unorganized, not major power, not minor power, and not in the Americas. Not even ...

Notice the jpg that I posted. The message says that I did not have enough development. That has nothing to do with fog of war. What good is the green map and screen if it says you have enough when you don't. Surely I didn't lose development during the turn to make it invalid. I also don't understand...

Bug? Valid to place; invalid in msg

This has got to be a bug. Repeatedly I am taking colonial and military actions where the map lights up green and allows me to place. Then I get messages that such actions are invalid. I assume this cost me money and assets and was never feasible. I understand that some colonial actions have a chance...

So it's not really new merchant fleets. Just replacements? Yet it says it happened in Delaware where there are no such fleets. An awful lot in this game that just is not understandable. And I own all of Aegod's games. I love the developers, want to support them, but this game is a struggle to figure...

Very frustrating. Cannot do anything about the marauding Indians because I can't declare war and I thought I read in manual that you don't have to declare war as America trying to killing the native Americans. Sioux are not even listed in the diplomacy window. Every time I try to DOW the Cherokee, I...

I have a 1.4 ghz laptop. was simming the 41-turn, two-theater campaign. previous and later turns are taking a few minutes to sim. then I have a 30+ minute turn and the Ai shows that it is doing supply module 1. how large is 1.10 setup? remember that i'm the one with satellite who has always had to download in segments when over 200 mb. how about a 1.10 patch with memory tweaked in settings? I've dropped back to original 1.0 and everything is running fine. but i'd like to get a little more current.

Back to my BOA question, is it typical to have 50-70 unused units in the recruitment screen? How could I have more effectively received these replacements?

My understanding was to have damaged units in a large city and set them to passive, making sure you weren't besieged?

help with recruiting

I am in large cities, set to passive, with weakened forces. I control the region, too. Why do I end the game with 52 militia and 47 regular infantry in my recruiting box still waiting but never coming into the game. I've always been baffled by this no matter how many times I look at the manual or po...

where to find aacw setup file via download

I made the mistake of backing all of my aacw but not the original setup.exe that comes with the download.

How do I reinstall the game or find this file for download. I can't even find my serial number in the backup folder. Who do I contact to show that I have proof of the purchase?

Tips on backing up the game

This may seem like a real basic question, but what is the best way to back up this game? I've got a hard drive threatening to go out. For the first time, I feel like I've wasted far too much time on an Ageod game. I've now played every scenario, except the really long one, and it's so unbalanced. It's too easy. As you played BOA and ACW, I believed you were aware of that, sorry for the misunderstanding. German mercenaries in BOA won't use British replacements for example. An extendend manual is in the making yes. Never gave it any thought in BOA or ACW because I had so many of the primary USA or CSA force...
