For those of us old timers, who started gaming in the ancient 60's and have long since lost the time and ability to meaninfully play against anything but the AI, many of these complaints are music to our ears. All too often computer simulations have been basically worthless in solitaire mode against...

Locked Units Identified in Roster

One unit management feature that would be really helpful in version 1.08 would be some way to indicate in the Roster which Units are locked and which can be moved.

Otherwise, I continue to be impressed with the breath and depth of the simulation.

CSA & USA Checklists

As requested, attached is a confederate version of the checklist (Rev0) and a slightly modified checklist for the Union (Rev1). The changes to the Union checklist include some minor clean-up and a reminder to conduct Rail building/repair, as may be necessary. Again, these are offered in the hope tha...

Automatic Victory vs South

In the game (I believe in a tooltip) it states that in order to achieve a NM victory it is necessary to take Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans and Richmond. Given that three of those four fell in 1862, and Richmond was on the ropes (at least until Lee came along in the Seven Days fighting), that seems...

Union Turn Checklist

I have put together the attached checklist for Union players (easily adaptable for the confederates) to help keep all of the various activities in mind and in order. This is a rev0 version and I welcome others suggesting upgrades/changes. It might also provide a convenient basis for strategy tips. Jim

3 Star General Casualties

AACW rules provide that 3 star generals are immune to wounds or death in combat. However, there are several instances where 3 star generals were killed or wounded in combat, including A. S. Johnston and McPhearson (killed), and Joe Johnston (wounded). While the risk of either should be small, it sho...
