Greetings all, I realize you are done with BOA, but was the inability to trnsport coastal artillery a deliberate decision? Coastal artillery units have a flag which says something to the effect of: "May not leave the region except by ship" I can load the guns onto seagoing transports, but the ships ...
Yes. Great Lakes will no longer have the 'walks on water' issue in the winter that exists in BoA. Seriously?! No over ice marches? My recent move to Minnesota saw 'the boys' driving their 3/4 ton pickup trucks out on the lakes from mid December thru early March! And that with 'global warming' ! ! !...
Greetings! I enjoy PBEM for several reasons: cameraderie, friendly interaction, learning, but perhaps most of all, for decent competition. I do NOT consider myself an ace wargamer. But playing BOA, I won my first 1775 campaign as the British against AI handily on points. My first 1775 campaign as th...
What kind of skill level is needed for a player to join? Let's take me as an example: no skill. Regards, d0mbo. That is me, too! There are some crackerjacks, to be sure, but I think most are casual gamers. I have never experirnced the 'ladder' clubs, but I understand that our CCC is much more relax...
BTW, I used to have Age of Sail II, Buccaneers bounty (or something like that) but I fear it will not run on my new Vista machine so I have not loaded it up. Never played against a human and the AI was pretty easy to beat. But still, for a quickie 15 minute mental break, I really enjoyed AOS!

What game are you playing? The Colonial Campaigns Club plays primarily the games by HPS in their Early American Wars Series by John Tiller: Campaign 1776 1812 The French & Indian War And their brand spanking new title: The Mexican-American War (including the Texas Revolution  :coeurs: :cwboy ...
Greetings ... As an active member of The Colonial Campaigns Club, which emphasizes the HPS Early AMerican War series, I saw some posts regarding BOA which got me interested. This game has been added to the club so that games registered result in players receiving points toward club recognitions. I d...
Gentlemen all, New to the fray, and if you are still accepting requests then let me suggest: *** A self-generating AAR creating a 'history' document summarizing the major events of the player's country of choice. *** While playing the Medeival Total War, I alwayd thought that would have been a most ...
I just have finished a PBEM and would like to start another. I send at least a turn a day usually more than that. I don't mind which side or which year we start up to my opponent. I've played almost a dozen of these so far and so I feel pretty experienced, but do not mind showing new guys the ropes...
Count me in too! I am a CCC (HPS & John Tiller EAW vet) and now that I have a machine with the guts to run this memory hogg, I am loving it! A beautiful experience. I have completed two PBEM games, and think this must be the ticket. My very first 1775 campaign as the Brits is near the end and I have...
