Is there no ReMix event in the computer game?

Remix causes all events held by the players to go back into the pool. It's a nice event that causes a little tension for the player (do I hold this great event for a few turns - or play it now in case Remix comes up).

A good work-around would be to have the minor NW fixed, except when required to drop to a new level (e.g. the +1 in 1915 etc.).

Is it possible to block the report of the strike etc. events for minors? (They could still be executed in the background by the game, but the player would never see them).

Combat Mods

Thanks for your continued hard work on this game Calvinus. You mentioned sometime back that you would be putting in a combat results display/log so we could error-check the combat results. I still suspect there is some work to do in this area (e.g. the combat screen terrain mod always mentions plain...

Isolation

HQ's are destroyed thru "isolation". Not sure if it is implemented in WW1, but here is how it works in the boardgame: • Isolation is different and more severe than out of supply. • Units can become isolated at any time, including during the opponents turn. Line of Communication • A Line of Communica...

Also, a supply source can be - "A friendly city or town, which is not isolated and is linked by unbroken rail, major river or sea hexes/hexsides to another friendly city".

Two connected towns cannot make a supply source. Need a city on one end.

The boardgame rules are very explicit - "Captured enemy cities or towns cannot be supply sources or relays".

Perhaps WW1 supply needs a little tweaking

Corps in Reserve

Doug - can you quote the rule prohibiting corps with army number from going into reserve for their own army? (if I understand this thread correctly). Here's the rule I have been following - but it's based on my rules rewrite and may be inaccurate: • No unit with an army number may be placed in the G...

Is it possible to change their values, so they in fact become the lower rated army corps on the appropriate date?

Not for the whole map - just for the selected unit - a visual indicator where that unit is drawing supply from. Would be good for bug-checking - like the HQ to HQ supply situation discussed here. my main problem is to build an algorythm that is able to fill the map with supply colours in a few secon...

Supply "linkage"

By linkage, I mean a line graphic from the unit to the area(s) from which it is drawing supply -whether that be a supply relay or supply source.

Highlighting the supply areas is good, but doesn't tell us what the specific unit is "thinking" when it is drawing supply.

Something nice for a future patch would be a graphic display of the supply linkages for the selected unit.

From the board game (which should coincide with the computer game): A fortress is always in supply along with its garrison corps. A fortress may also supply one non-garrison corps in the same hex. The rail line between the rail supply hex and the supply source can be of any length, provided it is fr...

Thanks Calvinus - I look forward to the combat logging feature. The ability to access it from within the game would be nice. I suspect the panic result on "2" results for full strength units is a big reason we are seeing a lot of destroyed units. For info of those not familiar with LGG, panic result...

I'd sure like to at least have the option to see the dice rolls, or have them logged somewhere. LGG combat is fairly detailed and I've long suspected there is something inaccurate in many of the results. Just way too many destroyed units and unusual combat results have been encountered. Currently, w...

Trench levels

The original rules have the Balkan, Armenian, Oriental Fronts at 2 levels less than the western front. Maximum +1. Will this be implemented?

I think the only Africa units allowed outside of Africa is a single French african unit, which has some bonuses in combat. From the boardgame: Senegal Soldiers • Beginning in 1915, France may use one 3-4-5 colonial African unit in Europe. It benefits from several special powers. • When the African u...

Yes, excellent analysis Doug. I've often wondered about the excessive number of "destroyed" results.

I asked Calvinus if he would consider making the combat results a little more transparent (display the die rolls and CRT results). This would help with troubleshooting for sure.

Interception

I recommend every army be booked for interception. That way you always have the choice whether to intercept or not.

A button to auto-book every army would be useful

Starting in 1915, one general may be redeployed each turn during the reinforcement phase.

During each interphase, all generals may be freely redeployed (except those with compulsory assignments (e.g. German general Von Hutier may only serve in the east unless Russia is out of the war).

Here are the rules from the boardgame. It's not necessary for the main army to be involved.
