Sure - it is a bit late in the day, and generally end-project feature creep is Bad. But, a new of collating and presenting already existing data is one of the least problematic additions you can make. You don't have to worry about it interacting with other systems, or unbalancing them. It doesn't ne...

Battle reports - Please make them more interesting!

This is my biggest complaint with the AGEOD system. You have this beautiful complicated Athena battle resolution system that weights in so many different issues - and the player only gets the slightest hint of what actually happened. Should I have had more artillery? How much did my superior leaders...

Patches still available?

Any place to download the latest patch? The AGEOD links for 1.04 seem to be dead.

Thanks in advance!

I would love to see the AGEOD system applied to the Byzantine-Muslim border area in eastern Turkey/northern Syria in, say, 800-1000. The Byzantines had a pretty sophisticated doctrine of operational-level combined arms warfare: using light troops to delay an attacking army by holding critical passes...

How to wage guerrilla warfare?

Hi all. I've been playing this game for several months, and have played a number of other AGEOD titles. I'm very impressed with the system. One thing however I've never really gotten the hang of is how to make best use of one's light troops - raiders, skirmishers, etc - particularly in the form of s...

Cities and civil wars

Hi -- in general, this is a great application of a great system to a fascinating set of strategic situations. However, some of the mechanics related to civil wars seem to me a bit underdeveloped. I say this on the basis of a play-through of the Septimius Severus scenario. It seems odd to me that are...

Can the AI handle realistic supply/attrition?

Cheers, all -- I'm playing the French and Indian War scenario, as the French, and about halfway through I switched to realistic attrition because I liked the idea of trying to defeat invasions using a scorched earth strategy. Well, it's taken a pretty heavy toll on my troops, but the British seem to...
